Remarks

First of all admission process was very smooth , you can either directly join the university or you can take LPU NEST exam , then join the university but if you write the exam you may get some discount in the tuition fee. I got 40,000 scholarship by writing LPU NEST and it took just a day for me to complete the admission process and they have thousands of admission centres in India so no need to go to punjab and get admission you can get admission from your nearby city.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I chose Electronics and Communication Engineering course because I heard that by choosing this course I can get both core electronics knowledge and also programming part also. And I honestly gained both side knowledge in the university the faculty were really good and supportive. Just like all Universities we have 2 semesters per year and a mid term in each semester and also Commutative Assessments which will be conducted for every 4 weeks and marks will be awarded for that. You will be given 5 marks for our attendance also if we maintain above 90% for that respective subject.

Internships Opportunities

5

It depends on the different companies, for example if you got cognizant they will provide you 10k stipend per month and after joining the company they will give you 4LPA CTC and if you got for Capgemini it will give different stiepend but most of the companies give you internship.

Placement Experience

5

In the 4th year I gave exams for like around 15-20 companies and gave interviews for around 10 companies but got selected for 4 companies but everyday alot of companies come to LPU and hire students in bulk , the campus placements are good. Companies like Cognizant, Capgemini, Wipro, Highradius hire in bulk and provide internship. No need to worry about placements you will get ample amount of companies and opportunities. Almost 80% students from our Stream got placed in 4 months

Fees and Financial Aid

As I said my total tuition fee was 94,500 but after clearing LPU NEST I got scholarship of 45,000 so I only have to pay 50,000 per semester and it will be applied for whole degree I mean for 4 years same fees should be paid and they won't increase your fees in these 4 years. In 4th year 1st semester I got placed in 4 companies, they ae TCS, Wipro , L&T and VVDN technologies and they are also offering me internship in the final semester with the stipend of 15,000 and CTC 4LPA

Campus Life

5

When you are a student of LPU, no need to worry about the events. When I used to study in the university everyday minimum 2-3 events would be going on in the auditorium or outdoor auditorium, like they celebrate One India and One World these are the two biggest events that will happen in the university not only these but there are many student organisation which conduct cultural events regularly.

Hostel Facilities

5

University hostel is like above average, you can choose either AC rooms or cooler rooms , and you will get a bed , table, chair and attached washrooms and ofcourse with geyser. I stayed in the hostel but some of friends stayed outside compus in PG they are also good , very cheap prices and good facilities but I enjoyed alot in my hostel Life . Food quality is average and they don't put nonveg inside the college because nonveg is ban in the university

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
