Remarks

First I attended Lpunest examination for the admission process. And I qualified in it. They considered both my Lpunest and 12-grade marks and I got a scholarship. And also the fee structure is different from student to student based on their admission date.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose electronics and communication engineering because I am interested in practical things. And the faculty ratio is very good and the management is able to provide faculties for theory and labs separately. The qualification of faculty is changing from subject to subject and semester to semester. Overall the faculty is well qualified. Coming to exams the pattern is a bit difficult and we have to prepare on our own for exams from textbooks and running notes.

Internships Opportunities

Highradius is a company that offered internships for both IT and business field interested students. And they are currently working as interns. And with a stipend of 15000. And the outcome of this internship is students are able to know about the company environment and how the challenges are to be faced.

Placement Experience

After completing 2 years in BTech, we get a lot of opportunities for placements. When you are well trained then the companies will offer you an internship in 3 years itself. Amazon, Wipro, Accenture, HCL, Capgemini, cognizant, deolite and so many visited our college. And they took so many students into their company. Average package is 4 lpa . Up-to-date as I know highest package we got in this academic year is 16lpa

Fees and Financial Aid

I have to pay 55000 per semester as I joined in 2018. And it varies from the year of joining. And the university provides a vast number of options for the scholarship like jee marks, 12-grade marks, and lpunest marks. When u performance is good in these areas then u will definitely get a good amount of scholarship.

Campus Life

As the world is suffering problems from covid. It also affected my life and I attended College physically only for the first two years of my BTech. In these two years, I experienced good memories in my college life. Coming to social life there are so many clubs and organizations in our university. In this, you can join the organization based on your interests. My university got a huge library, and it contains not only academic books but also many types of books like journalls. And also University gives so much importance to sports. It is all based upon you how you use your time and facilities in college to participate in competition regari sports.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel room is good and manageable. We got a lot of options like ac and nonac rooms And also 2,3,4,5,6 seaters like that. I opted for 4 seater non AC room. We got a geyser and cooler and the cleaning also happen on regular interval days. Coming to the hostel menu is not up to the mark. And also options for the south Indian students are not as much as expected. The food menu should be improved

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

The environment of the college is so nice, helpful staff, AC labs for CS deptt.
Canteen and water facilities and park in both deptts

Dislikes

Distance of travelling coz for me its too much far
Nothing as of now everything was good enough

- Limited campus opportunities were available, and most students become eligible from the final year. - The average package was around 2-5 LPA. - after my degree my plan is to improve my employability my strengthening my technical skill in my domain

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
