Remarks

i was reffered by one of my brother to join in lpu. he was in final year and he has the confidence of definetely getting a job so my fater decided to check the university. in my town in a hotel some of the staff were conducting the admissions. so, we went to the hotel and asked about all the details. and if all good they said to confirmation we have to pay 10000. so we paid and went and discussed with some of my frnds and relatives. my father asked some of the professors and all they said it is near to the border and soo many drugs cases and why are you chossing to send your child so far.

Course Curriculum Overview

teaching quality is good and our teachers are well qualified as well. they have good experence in their field. we have like 8:10 ratio with teachers. they teach well and it is our duty to learn and practice everything they said. yes it is not easy to pass the the examination quite easy a room of 2 invisilators and cctv fotage we have no chance to copy what we got we have to write.

as i was placed their was metting we have gone through they said they will offer 25k for intern but now they are saying they wont offer any stiphed we have to work for 3 months and then they willl provide with our perminent job then they will be providing our salary

Placement Experience

well i was already placed all were good but the companes visted have so much low package and my friend from other colleges have placed with 6 and 8 lc package we are still on 4 lac soo that was the one of the bad thing our friends from other college are very small colleges but placed well.

Fees and Financial Aid

it was based on the 12th marks and lpunest and if 90 percent and above in 12 th standard you will get like 40000 scolarship and same with the lpunest. being one of the large university they are offering good scolarship.

Campus Life

it is so good to spend these 2 years in lpu due to covid we are going through online classes but we have many memories in our university remembering them make me so emotional. we enjoyed a lot went through so many trips and all in our university.

Hostel Facilities

our university infrastructure is the one of the most advantage for our university our hostels have 24\7 power and water supply so many rules and regulations. we have id card to enter our respective hostel noo one have permission to enter other hostel and hostel food is quiet bored but when ever we are bored we will be going out and eat our favourite food.

Hostel Fee: INR 70000 per year

Interview Experience

yes i was placed in wipro from lpu their will be 3 or 4 rounds based on company when company or university send you the mail regaring company vist to the university we have to well prepared for all the rounds like the 1 st round will be online test if we qualify then coding test then group disscussion and hr interview this is the process

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

The environment of the college is so nice, helpful staff, AC labs for CS deptt.
Canteen and water facilities and park in both deptts
Skilled professional educators and tutors

Dislikes

Distance of travelling coz for me its too much far
Nothing as of now everything was good enough

Placement Experience:

- Limited campus opportunities were available, and most students become eligible from the final year. - The average package was around 2-5 LPA. - after my degree my plan is to improve my employability my strengthening my technical skill in my domain

Aqi was soo good because plants and tree was so much

Mess food was bad but it doesn't taste that bad
If we Complaint about anything college mostly ignore it

From 7th sem students become eligible for campus placements and tata or Infosys companies visited and about 60 to 70 percent students were placed and my plans after getting the degree is to opt for higher studies doing mtech from iit

I like the most about the college the placement criteria and the way built your confidence
Also the hostel is very good and provide food 4 times
The campus explorer is also very nice according to me

Faculty is not soo well had a lit bit inconvenience

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The sports and the various facilities that they provide for relaxing
The Library that remains open till 10-11 at night for those who wish to study till late
Great mentors and very helpful teachers who are always willing to help

The hectic schedule and curriculum that the students have to follow.
The lack of certain facilities that would help the students improve thoer personalities
Too much strictness and restrictions with everything that someone wishes to do

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
