Remarks

In the exam conducted by Lpu LPUNEST, you should have a minimum of 50% score so that you can get the scholarship-based discount on the college fee. You can find the application of LPU in www.lpu.in. You will get the scholarship amount only on the score of LPUNEST. I got a 30% scholarship on my College fee.

Course Curriculum Overview

I have chosen CSE because I have an interest in computer skills and I always wanted to be a software engineer. LPU has the best faculty. The faculty members were too friendly and supportive. All the faculty in LPU are PG graduates and MBA graduates. Their teachings were good.

Class Size: 64Course Fees: INR 140000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Internships will start from the 6th semester. There are many companies that offer internships like Wipro, etc., Projects will be most helpful for the upcoming placements. and this helps the students to get more opportunities in upcoming placement drives.

Placement Experience

Students will be able to eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester. Their are so many companies visited every year. For the batch, 2021 90% of students got placed in the companies. The Highest package is 42LPA. and the lowest package is 3.4LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure in LPU varies from batch to batch. The fee will be hiked for freshers like if the 2019 batch has 90000 then the next batch most probably will be 100000. LPUNEST scholarship helps a lot to decrease the fee if you have a good score in LPUNEST.

Campus Life

Life on the campus was awesome. There will be lots of events daily. There will be many events conducted daily. and there will be cultural fests. ONE INDIA event will be held in LPU this will celebrate all the cultures of INDIA. There are many sports clubs in LPU actually participate in India wise.

Hostel Facilities

The facilities in the hostel room were moderate not so good as compared to the hostel fee. Meals are also moderate not so good. but they are hygienic the infrastructure in the hostel are not so good. It is better to take a PG outside the Campus you will be finding a lot of PG near lawgate or Phagwara.

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

The environment of the college is so nice, helpful staff, AC labs for CS deptt.
Canteen and water facilities and park in both deptts

Distance of travelling coz for me its too much far
Nothing as of now everything was good enough

- Limited campus opportunities were available, and most students become eligible from the final year. - The average package was around 2-5 LPA. - after my degree my plan is to improve my employability my strengthening my technical skill in my domain

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
