MAIT, B.Tech, Computer Science and Engineering

Remarks

Jee mains examination is compulsory for taking admission into B. Tech. The application is through the gossip official website. You will find every detail regarding the admission process on the official site. You have to pay 40K after a college is allotted to you during counseling.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The curriculum of the college consists of various practical skills which prepare students for the future. The faculty is very knowledgeable and keen on teaching, they are friendly as well as strict at the same time. Exams are conducted regularly and difficulty is normal, prepare well from previous year papers. Boy to girl ratio in my course is 4:1.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 135200 per year

Internships Opportunities

3.5

In the computer science branch, 50-60% of students got an internship in decent companies with a stipend varying from 5K to 25K per month. Most of the roles offered to interns are as a web developer, software developer, etc. MAIT tries to provide internships to the maximum number of students possible.

Placement Experience

4.5

Almost all the previous year students from the computer science branch were placed in some of the world's top tech companies. There is a very good placement opportunity if you have skills. 60-70 companies visit our college with an average package of 6-7 LPA. Almost all the students get placed in computer science-related branches. The highest package in 2021 was 42 lakhs by Microsoft and the lowest was 3 lakhs. Half of the students got an internship in decent companies. Accenture, Cognizant, Amazon, TCS, etc are top recruiting companies.

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fees are the same for all branches which are 1,35,200 rupees. Very less scholarship opportunities are there. Half of the students got an internship in decent companies with stipends varying from 5K to 25K.

Campus Life

I've don't have much experience because due to covid we went to college for few times only but those few times were very interesting for me and my friends. we played table tennis, chess, and cricket which were very exciting moments. Our college provides air-conditioned classrooms, good labs, a very good multi-storied library, cricket ground, football ground, badminton court, volleyball court, basketball court, etc. The campus size of MAIT is a little small but well used. The campus has 9 different buildings for the various branches provided by the college and there is one building of library too.

My experience studying at NSIT

Likes

Placement was among the best and most the top companies visited
Infrastructure was appreciable with no major shortage of laboratories
Senior-Junior interaction compensated the average faculty

Dislikes

Outdated curriculum negatively impacted the conceptual clarity
Too difficult to secure good grades due to strict marking
Mediocre support provided to student led initiative

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum was evidently outdated and irrelevant to modern engineering challenges and could have severely disadvantaged students' learning outcomes. Although, interaction with seniors compensated this.

How Good B.Tech. from JAMIA MILLIA ISLAMIA is?

Likes

Here in Jamia the faculty is very experienced in their fields , they make you feel Engineering and not to just read books. there teaching methods are amog the top in the nation
the curriculum not just focus on your engineering but also focuses on your personality development.
the infrastructure itself gives you the feel of oldness and the reputation of the college.

Dislikes

one bad thing is its less availability of Hostel rooms .
there is a very strict rule of 75% attendance .

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

The Dream College Life

Likes

The campus is completely different from the whole city, it is more cleaner and is quiet peaceful with various different beautiful views at different points and is not too big so could easily walk through the campus.
Has really great architecture of the buildings and is surrounded by really intelligent people including some over the top profs and some really great minds from the country.
The night life is completely different and is one of the best part of staying in campus.

Dislikes

some of the hostels are quiet old and need renovation.

Placement Experience:

If you study passionately and have decent communication skills and some important competencies, I assure you that you will secure a position in a great company. Here at IIT Delhi, you earn what you work for; you can receive salary packages as high as 2 crores, but some offers start as low as 4 lakhs per annum.
