Remarks
The admission process right from the outset was well-curated and seamless. One can apply for SET through the official website post which one is called for the exam in a physical centre. Results are out soon after the exam and shortlisted candidates are called for the further admission process - PIWAT (Personal Interview and Writing Assessment Test). For this PIWAT, a good number of volunteers are assigned that take care of all contingencies and queries that might arise of the date of the process and ensure a good and smooth experience for the candidates.
Course Curriculum Overview
The college authorities are very particular with the overall conduct of the classes which ensures timely conduct of lectures and also of the exams. There's a continuous evaluation methodology that is followed basis which exams happen throughout a semester. Exams are generally of moderate level of difficulty and the overall perception would be influenced by one's sincerity in attending classes and post-class study time as well.
Internships Opportunities
There are a plethora of companies that come on campus by the Internship Cell of college, which has the onus of getting this aspect right. Starting the second year, one would get enough and more internships to choose from.
Placement Experience
Placements are one of those highlights of SCMS which puts it in a different league vis a vis other BBA colleges in the country. Almost everyone who wishes to persevere in the placement season will get placed. Semester 5 onwards, companies start coming on campus and one can apply to as many as one wants till one gets selected by one of them. Companies like KPMG, Deloitte, ICICI Bank, Credit Suisse et al are some of the regular recruiters.
Fees and Financial Aid
There's a standard academic fee of approx 300,00 rupees per annum, with a certain percentage increase with every passing year. As for the scholarships, one needs to contact the administration for more information on this, given I am not aware of any such mechanism.
Campus Life
This is what makes SCMS stand apart. There's a platter of activities available for one to choose from. From the annual fest - Sympulse to a dozen plus clubs, cells, and extra curriculars, one is sure to find one's interest oriented club/cell/coterie and if not, you are welcome to become the harbinger.
Interview Experience
Yes. In the PIWAT process, there's a Writing Assessment Test that happens for approx 20 minutes followed by a Personal Interview. For the preparation, one needs to read daily newspapers and stay on top of extant news. This will help in the WAT as well as the PI process. Also, it is recommended to brush up one's academics of class XI and XII to be able to seamlessly traverse through the PI>
