Remarks

The admission process may be a bit of mess of every college i believe. This was the same as others, you need to provide all the necessary documents. You don't need to worry about how and where, the support team will guide you step by step.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I choosed this course because i just loved computers from the very beginning. I really wanted to make a future in Computer Science Stream. The faculties do have a good qualification. Many faculties have done PHD. The exams were not a confusion, there were CA's (Continuous Assignments), Mid-Terms and End-Terms. Simple as that.

Class Size: 84Course Fees: INR 108000 per year

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Companies like Tata, Cognizant, Amazon, Google comes here. So you can basically judge the craze of the students opting for internships. Internships will help you understand more about jobs, about real life working. Check out college dunia's more reviews about internships. I hope you'll get a better understanding

Placement Experience

Talking about companies, you don't need to worry about them. Almost every company visits here. With a high probablility of students getting placed. The avg package for CSE is around 5-6L. The highest package was 42L, but it was off campus.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is kind of less as compared to other private well known universities. But the problem i noticed is, the fees are increasing on the yearly basis. I didn't really like that. But you can apply for LPUNEST(examination for scholarship) to get a good scholarship.

Campus Life

The college life is just amazing in my pov. Every facility is available for students. I bet your social life would be improved here. You'll develop a different personality here. The infrastructure is just great as compared to other colleges.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel is kind of okay, but can't judge the meal to be honest, its edible. Sometimes you get a good meal but i've never heard getting a bad meal. The mess is overall normal. Registration process for hostel is simple, the only thing i don't like is the price. I'd suggest you hostel if you're out of your home far for the first time. But you can opt PG from the 2nd year if you want. It will save up a lot of money

Hostel Fee: INR 100000 per year

Good Campus Life, Great Exposure, and Plenty of Opportunities at Chandigarh University

Likes

I like the infrastructure of the university it has a great campus and so many shops there stationary and canteens available here.
I like the security of the Chandigarh university is so good guards and the cctv cameras are all around the campus
I like the quality of study and the knowledge the faculty provide us during the lectures and practicals

Dislikes

I dont like the attendance criteria in this university.
In some of the subjects we have to maintain 90% attendance and that is difficult for the most of students
I dont like the number of lectures in per week in this course like i have 26 lectures per week in my course

Placement Experience:

Placements here in this college are really good. Before the placements they give us all the information about the rounds in placements in the form of seminars and also there are mock tests for the placements and the interview trainings before the placement drives and the AMCAT exam which is for the placements.

The campus is beautiful, spacious, and offers good infrastructure with modern facilities.
The university provides good exposure to technical courses, eventrs , clubs, and extracurricular activities.
The campus has good labs, a library, and facilities that support students academic development.

The fees are high and losing a scholarship due to cgpa requirements can create a significant financial burden.
More personalized mentorship and regular career guidance sessions would help student prepare for their future carees.
more internship opportunities would further improve students professional growth.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the CSE curriculum covers relevant subjects and provides a good foundation programming and computer science. It prepares students for futher studies and careers, through more industry-based projects and practical learning would be bemigficial. Exams include MSTs and ESTs, with a manageable difficulty level through regi;ar preparation.

college life of Chandigarh university is so good, all the events do happen .
teachers are so experienced and they are so supportive in here.
the placements in this university are great, all the big tech companies do visit while placements and provide jobs to the deserved students.

Dislikes

All the online courses should be reduced.
nothing is there in the university that is to dislike.
majority of the things are all good in our university.

Placement Experience:

The placemnets in the university starts from the 3 year only. companies comes in the 3rd year, students= can give interviews in this year, and they can get the NOC. wich means you can go for the job or the iinternship and there is no need to take the classes, because you are taking the indyustry level experience in the prior basis also.

Dislikes

one thing i feel can be improved is the amount of pratical and industry oriented learning
some claases can be more theroy oriented so more hands on activities and pratical sessions would be beneficial
during major events and peak hours the campus become crowded

A TOUR TO CGC LANDRAN

Likes

Events are more frequent here and most of the stars from punjabi industry are called more often for film promotions
No ragging is there infact seniors are friendly and try to help juniors
TPP (training and placement program) is provided that help students to crack placements

Dislikes

Attendance criteria (minimum 75 % is essential to maintain to be eligible to give exams)
Class timings are fixed from 9:15 to 4:35 and you can not enter in between 10 to 12:00 PM as gates are closed for this duration
Strength is rapidly increasing as new courses are introduced which increases competition during placements

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent, from 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement students need to enroll in TPP(Training and placement program) in order to get eligible for campus placement, Many companies visit our campus for eg Capgemini, LNT, ZSCALER, EDIFECS, AMAZON, PWC, WATCHGUARD TECHNOLOGIES etc overall above 200 offerrs are made to our senior batch with the highest package of 32LPA and average package of around 4.5LPA. more than 60% of students get placed . I am also sitting for campus placement and wish to get placed soon

College Life is Fun, Various activities and events happen in and around college, you got to know about others and crowd is also decent, Mostly Students are from northern regions that is Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand .
Teachers are good and placement coordinators also help students to get good package on campus. a decent package can be bagged by a student if he/she seriously study and obtain a decent CGPA in exam. Make sure you clear all exams till 8th semester.
Infrastructure Is also good, laboratories are fitted with new desktops and campus size is also decent, Tuck shops and various Canteens are available inside the campus. Also Central Library is there inside the campus where students can study in exam t

Dislikes

The curriculum for 1st and 2nd semester is purely based on subjects that you studied in 11th and 12th, the advance versions of those topics are there in 1st and 2nd semester which make it difficult for students to get good grades.
The placement in other branches like Mechanical, electrical is mere, and one can face difficult in getting on campus placement if he/she belongs to these streams. Also Lack of practical knowledge is there in these streams, Theory is more focused.
If one opt for hostels, then the hostel facilities are not as good as it should be , the mess food is pathetic and one can face difficulty if he/she opt for hostel, also campartively hostel fees are also very high, whereas nearby Pg's are cheaper

Placement Experience:

placement is good in our college. Aveage package is 400000, and average package for cse stream is approx 500000. Various companies like alstom, infosys, accenture, TCS, Wipro, amazon, Walmart, JP Morgan chase and co. etc visit campus every year and recruit students. Approx 300+ companies visit campus and above 80% of cse students are placed but In other streams like ECE.EE and ME etc placements are campartively lower and students face difficulty in order to get placed. MY plan is job oriented i also want to get placed on campus and hope so i will get placed in a good company.
