Remarks
The University allows admission in CSE courses based on the PCM marks in 12th and 10th standards and also based on JEE Mains examination. If you got above 85 percent in aggregate in PCM in your class 10th and 12th then you are eligible for admission in this course. The scholarship is also provided on the same basis and an additional 10% scholarship is provided to the girl candidates by the university. Further discounts can be availed based on payment. Application forms can be filled out on the official GEU website by the interested candidates from July. Application fees are Rs. 1000 only.
Course Curriculum Overview
The university provides good placement opportunities in the CSE course and this course is the only one which had been estimated to provide a huge number of placements in the future in the whole world. Thus, it is a good decision to choose this course. Taking about the faculty of the university, most of them are Ph.D. qualified and teach everything to the depth. The faculty to student ratio is very low around 1:60 that is 60 students per faculty. Taking about the university exams, there are 2 exams per semester mid and end. Difficulty entirely depends upon the type of student but it is for sure that if a student is attentive to what is taught in the class then he/ she can easily get good marks in the exams.
Internships Opportunities
Companies like Amazon, Infosys, Adobe, etc. Start visiting the campus for internship from the second year with roles offered such as data management, web developers, etc. These are paid with certificates and sometimes a letter of recommendation.
Placement Experience
Companies like Wipro, Amazon, Infosys, etc. Visit the university at the time of placements. The highest package offered in the year 2020-2021 was 54 lacs from Amazon. Around 70% of the students get placed with an average placement package of 7 lac/ year. In the same year, around 150 national and multinational companies visited the university and around 1300 students were placed from the CSE course. The university also provides internship opportunities from the second year.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total fee of this course (without specialization) is around 12-15 lacs. The university provides scholarships based on 10th and 12th marks and also based on jee mains score. An additional discount of 10% can be availed by the girl candidates. The fee amount can go up to 8-9 lacs based on these scholarships.
Campus Life
Life is too interesting at the campus with a lot of fests, clubs going on at regular intervals. The infrastructure of the university is worth loving. All the labs and libraries are provided with high-speed wifi connectivity, all the labs are upgraded especially the computer labs are awesome. Hostels are also nice with all the facilities. Libraries are loaded with magazines and syllabus books which can also be issued and the library is open the whole week including Sunday. Sports can be played at any time by the students in the playground of the university.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel is nice with all the facilities like wifi, etc. Meal quality is awesome and different dishes can be seen on different days of the week in the mess. Hostel fees vary from 80000-150000 per year.
