Osmania University entrance examination for M.A. English, My rank was 59. I chose to be in this college because it is in the main Osmania University Campus with the best teachers.

The Course Curriculum is quite student friendly. We have classes from 9AM to 1PM. As the masters course need much research work to be done by the student, the timetable gives the students ample amount of time to spend in library after the classes.

I am still in my first year, so I am not aware of the internships. As far as i am aware, seminars are conducted in the second year and guided by the teachers. There is no campus placement in this particular course.

There is no campus placement in this particular course. Students have to give NET for a job as a teacher. Other jobs as content writer, copywriter etc can be pursued. Osmania UNiversity has a good name, so being a student of the same helps in the resume.

As the University is way too big, the events are mostly college specific and also department specific. Depending on the department, cricket matches, tea parties, freshers and farewell are conducted. Also, there are a few inter college fests.

Fee structure is feasible there are regular seats and payment seats the payment seats are a bit expensive than the regular ones but both of them are quite feasible for my course.

I have no idea about any such offer as i have never needed any though such things might be available for the foreign students, i am not very sure.

Osmania University has a very patriarchal ambiance. People do not talk about the issues related to gender equality because it is not easily accepted here. Attempts to make changes are not encouraged as it is accepted that nothing will change and might give rise to student riots. The hostelers indulge themselves in many strikes about the fees as most of the students belong to the backward classes but for someone belonging to upper classes, the fees are quite feasible.

The hostel facilities are okay the rooms are on the basis of sharing beginning from 4 to 6 members. The mess is quite big. The food isnt that good the students need to apply online from the OU site for a seat in the hostel. The outsiders are given preference. the ranks in the entrance examination is also taken into consideration.

The senior students are very helping when it comes to providing notes and other academic helps. They are also friendly outside the classroom. Many events are organised by them to help the freshers bond with them.

There are 2 internal exams and 1 external exam. The internals exam can seem a bit hectic as 2-3 three examinations are conducted back to back. But it is more of an objective type question pattern, so doesn't bring much load to the students. The final/external examination give enough time for the students to prepare for the same.

The faculty is very nice the teachers are quite old but gel along with the students very well. There is one to one communication between the teacher and the student. So it gives student to utilize most of the teachers help.
