Remarks

The admission process is enough fair. I am a student of Bsc Mathematics Hons and for this department, eligibility criteria were 70% in Mathematics and 70% in overall in HS examination. You can get it's an application form on the College website and for the Covid situation this year's application was free. There is also a reservation for SC/ST/OBC. You can check the details on their website. The admission process is fair enough and management is quite helpful.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I am keen interested in Mathematics from class 7-8 and I want to enrich myself with higher education in mathematics. In our department Teacher-Student ratio is 1:12. Faculty members are very qualified most of the teacher holds Ph.D. and have presented their excellency in various seminars. Faculty members, as well as Principal and vice- Principal Maharaj, are quite helpful. They are quite dedicated to solving the problem faced by students. The examination is one of the key reasons which has improved the NAAC grade. The examination is taken in a timely. There are two examinations in every semester one is mid sem examination and one is end sem. As it is an autonomous college so the question standard is quite high and almost every topic is covered in classes. So academically this is one of the best colleges in INDIA.

Internships Opportunities

5

I am just a 2nd-semester student and I have not pursued any internship till now. But it is known that after every even semester internship opportunity is given by the college. Teachers and management are also very supportive to have the internship.

Fees and Financial Aid

The Fee of the college is a little bit high than the other govt college. It costs about 40-50k to persuing the whole BSc. But there are a lot of scholarships available and the college management is quite helpful to fill up this. Placement cell is also there but only available for some departments.

Campus Life

5

I don't know there is any society or clubs or groups run by students but the NSS unit is available there. College also arranges a lot of competitions like a sports competition, music competition, music competition, seminars for the students.

Other Applied Colleges

Ashutosh College | B.Sc Mathematics Hons

This college is an autonomous college and the infrastructure is very futuristic... Politics is also

Placement Experience:

People who major in my department usually opt for masters over placement not because of this college but because overall industrial or academic opportunities are better with a pg degree. Masters from this college is not recommended as i have heard so from my seniors. Some of my seniors managed to crack competitives and secure MSc seats at great places. Training and Placement cell had a good coordinator previously but now its almost non existent. Companies do come and hire Bpharm, Mpharm and MSc candidates. Packages are below average. Only Nestle pays well. But if you do well you'll eventually climb up the corportate ladder. From the time i am here i have not heard of any BSc candidate getting placed. Most go for higher studies.

Placement Experience:

The average package offered for such roles ranges between ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package offered to a BSc student is around ?4 LPA, depending on skills and specialization. Overall, around 15–20% of BSc students get placed through campus drives, and many students rely on off-campus opportunities.

The course is very relevant as it provides us an overall knowledge of biology and not dividing it into various sections rather giving us an insight of every aspect of biology. It includes everything such as microbiology, zoology, botany, physiology, molecular biology and so on.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was well thought out as per me but there were subjects that i found absolutely unnecessary. Subjects like history evs and clc were in no way related to my course. Coming to the main subjects Design, Printing, Photography and film and Media Training were absolutely necessary for my course and whilst the faculty for some of these subjects were really bad, some were good. It is also important to mention none of these subjects actually helped us prepare for the real world. Instead internships and freelance helped us more than these subjects could ever do. Exams were held bi monthly to keep track of what we learnt and every 6 months we had our semester exams. Overall if you want to be a media professional INTERNSHIPS AND JOBS WILL HELP YOU MORE THAN A COLLEGE WILL. I am biased on this opinion as my college didnt provide me with the correct guidance and support i needed to make it in the real world.

Placement Experience:

In case of computer science department, placement is provided at the Last year of M.sc course. Many companies like Wipro, b10x, Tata visited here. Highest package ever is three lakh per annum. 20-40% of the students got placement after completing M.Sc computer science. My plan after B.sc is to pursue MCA.

* It's all about practical knowledge, we are getting from this course and another aspect is if you wants to make your career in research or lecturer then you should go for it. *No changes required in teaching methods but if college will provide hostel facilities and campus requirement drive, then it will better for candidates.
