Remarks

The course eligibility is based on the higher secondary exam marks. You must pass the HS exam with a minimum of 45% marks and it must be from a science background. Here the merit list is created based on the best of 4 subject marks. That means they will take a percentage of the top 4 subject marks. The application form is on the college website and the application form fee is Rs 350. After the application college authority will publish several merit lists. If you get selected you have to pay the admission fee which is around Rs 1800. The application starts right after the HS result and classes start within a month. Yes like any other college we do have reserved seats available for minority students

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I have chosen this course because I love doing mathematics and I have got good marks in Maths from my childhood. I want to be a teacher in Maths. We have around 60 students and we have 5 professors in our Mathematics department. So the student-faculty ratio is one professor per 12 students, which is not reasonable. Most of our professors have completed P.hD and the rest of them are pursuing P.hD. So they are highly qualified to teach us. Before covid, they have taken regular classes. We have learned C programming practical classes because of them. They are student-friendly. We have two semester every year so total six semester in graduation. Exams become tough in the last 3 semester

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee in this college is low. The admission fee was Rs1800. Then for every semester, the fee varies between 1200-1600. The total cost of studying here for 3 years is less than Rs10,000. If you take private tuition, the cost will be very high. The college fee may increase a little bit in recent time You get Swami Vivekanada scholarships mainly and you can get OASIS scholarships if you belong to a minority. For girls Kanyashree scholarship is available. College does not provide financial help and we do not get any job as campusing is not happening here.

Campus Life

4

We have seen some cultural programs in our college. Saraswati Puja, Teacher's Day, Annual cultural programs are the main programs. Moreover, Rabindra Jayanti, Independence Day, International mother tongue day, etc are celebrated too. Many students participate actively in those programs. We have a very good library in our college where we can find our subject-related book as well as many other books including comics, magazines. We have a computer room for practical coding classes. Our classrooms are medium in size and very clean we have a very good green campus. In front of our college building, we have beautiful gardens. Every year annual sports programs are organized and many different sports activity happens here. we have hostel facilities for students and we have student union in our college

Placement Experience:

People who major in my department usually opt for masters over placement not because of this college but because overall industrial or academic opportunities are better with a pg degree. Masters from this college is not recommended as i have heard so from my seniors. Some of my seniors managed to crack competitives and secure MSc seats at great places. Training and Placement cell had a good coordinator previously but now its almost non existent. Companies do come and hire Bpharm, Mpharm and MSc candidates. Packages are below average. Only Nestle pays well. But if you do well you'll eventually climb up the corportate ladder. From the time i am here i have not heard of any BSc candidate getting placed. Most go for higher studies.

The course is very relevant as it provides us an overall knowledge of biology and not dividing it into various sections rather giving us an insight of every aspect of biology. It includes everything such as microbiology, zoology, botany, physiology, molecular biology and so on.

Completely relevant. As the college is autonomous it has its own syllabus. Which matches with the net gate jam exam syllabus. When someone came our college for seminar they strange that we know this much. Exam are quite difficult in 2 months interval.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was well thought out as per me but there were subjects that i found absolutely unnecessary. Subjects like history evs and clc were in no way related to my course. Coming to the main subjects Design, Printing, Photography and film and Media Training were absolutely necessary for my course and whilst the faculty for some of these subjects were really bad, some were good. It is also important to mention none of these subjects actually helped us prepare for the real world. Instead internships and freelance helped us more than these subjects could ever do. Exams were held bi monthly to keep track of what we learnt and every 6 months we had our semester exams. Overall if you want to be a media professional INTERNSHIPS AND JOBS WILL HELP YOU MORE THAN A COLLEGE WILL. I am biased on this opinion as my college didnt provide me with the correct guidance and support i needed to make it in the real world.

Placement Experience:

In case of computer science department, placement is provided at the Last year of M.sc course. Many companies like Wipro, b10x, Tata visited here. Highest package ever is three lakh per annum. 20-40% of the students got placement after completing M.Sc computer science. My plan after B.sc is to pursue MCA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

* It's all about practical knowledge, we are getting from this course and another aspect is if you wants to make your career in research or lecturer then you should go for it. *No changes required in teaching methods but if college will provide hostel facilities and campus requirement drive, then it will better for candidates.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.Sc Computer Science Faculty: Student ratio is = 4:23 may vary a bit Faculty are well Qualified & Teaching method is okay good, but not to the mark like very good or excellent. The exam term was timely (sometimes it gets a bit late due to some natural disaster like cyclone, heavy rainfall, etc or any govt. & university delays), and the exam level is nearly too difficult, something like in between moderate to difficult.
