Most major branches were available in my college like CS, IT, ECE, EN, ME, and CE. I got admission on the basis of AKTU exams (just like JEE mains) and it's an application form that would be available online after the exam results. For selecting the college I tried to get the brochure from the respective colleges of my choice which might include all the details of fee structure throughout 4 years of college and details related to hostel accommodation, etc. There definitely is a reservation benefit and aktu provides with an extra benefit every year that is of scholarships based on your overall performance in a year and poverty line criteria (it is a strict process followed by many verification rounds).

I chose this course because it gives me an overview of how things are really going on and what basis and criteria a structure are designed so that it remains safe throughout its lifespan. And the best thing about civil engineering is that you can literally see every single thing/ construction going around you and relate it to your knowledge. The faculty-student ratio is pretty good, not only in my branch, rather in every branch of engineering, and if the college sees any differences in that ratio it always tries to recruit new professionals to teach. Qualification of teachers are pretty good because almost every teacher have a master's degree some even have double masters or PhDs. I won't say that every teacher's method of teaching was excellent because I think that every person has a different understanding level and different way of teaching. Final exams are quite difficult and you really have to study well for that otherwise you'll definitely fail.

I find that fees itself is quite high and sometimes it fluctuates around to university norms or you may say because it's a private college and its owners have their own will. The overall cost of living including the hostel may range between 10-12 lacs. Aktu provides scholarships every year based on your poverty level and your marks. CS/ IT sector gets a huge opportunity of jobs but core branches like CE and ME might not get that much opportunity.

Annual fest is named as Udbhav and takes place in the month of February and tech fest happens before Udbhav. Huge variety of books and journals are available in the library and college provides students with books for every semester which they have to return after the end of a semester and buy using there library card a student can borrow any book for upto 10 days. ACs and smart boards are provided in very classroom. Almost all the extra curricular activities takes place in the college, the only problem with that is teachers are mostly unsupportive for that and you have to give extra time to those activities other than your college hours.
