NIT Puducherry Review

I opted for the civil engineering program because I wanted to go for the government job and as per my JEE score and as per the budget NIT Puducherry was the perfect choice for me. I cleared my JEE and secured my seat at the college through JOSAA counselling. The admission process was smooth and quite simple. To be part of NIT Puducherry one has to clear JEE exam and should have to secure a minimum of 60% marks in 10+2.

The curriculum of the college is good and it follows all kinds of industrial development. The curriculum covers all the topics of engineering. The curriculum teaches us about all the fundamentals and concepts in detail are deep. The faculty of the college is very good. The faculty are professional and they properly guide us. The faculty help us with all kinds of assignments. The faculty also have completed their master's and PhD degree programs from the top universities of India. Faculty teaching methods are simple and easy.

The placement quality of the college is decent and the college maintains a decent placement record of 80% placement. The placement committee members are quite professional and they are able to invite good numbers of the faculty in the college for the placement drive and around 75 companies visit our campus for the college placement drive. The highest placement offer of the college was around 15 LPA and the average placement offer is around 8 LPA.

Scholarship for MBC students from Tamil Nadu, Scholarship for Physically Disabled, Directorate of Higher and Technical Education (DHTE), Scholarship from Swami Dayanand Charitable Education Foundation (SDEF), Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj Merit Scholarship are some of the scholarship names through which the college provides scholarships.

The college campus life is very good. The college infra is well developed and well managed. The classrooms are very nicely designed. The classrooms are fitted with digital boards. The college library is very good and we can find all kinds of books and bestselling authors' books are also available in the college library. The labs are also very well maintained. The college also has sports facilities like basketball, volleyball and badminton court.

The hostel is very well designed. The rooms are available on the triple, double and single sharing accommodation. The hostel rooms are fully furnished. The hostel mess food quality is very good. The hostel warden is professional and the staff is well trained to manage the hostel discipline. The hostel is very clean. The hostel security is good and we have all kinds of basics and modern facilities available in the hostel.
