Remarks

The admission process is too simple and Clear. That you can only get a seat in the university by only clearly the LPUNEST exam conducted by the university in the admission process. You need to get a good score in that exam to get a seat. At least 60% aggregate in Class 12 (with Physics, Mathematics and English) or equivalent

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose LPU because this university provides good placements as compared to other colleges and provides you with the liberty to follow your hobbies and interests as well. LPU is very innovative in terms of events happening every single year. Students get various opportunities to showcase their skills and are always encouraged by teachers. The surroundings of the college are very green and beautiful. LPU provides all kinds of sports facilities for students so that All the faculty members of LPU are professionals and certified in the course they are teaching. Teaching quality will be very explanatory by which each and every student can gain more knowledge about a particular subject. Doubts will be clarified very clearly by the faculty members. The faculty and staff are too qualified. And the staff is responsible for the university surrounding. They are going to take action if any disciplinary done by the students. And the faculty most of them are PhDs. Class Size: 80 Course Fees: INR 185000

Fees and Financial Aid

My course cost around 185000 indian rupees. I don't feel my money is getting worth. Because a lot of time of my course is wasted by my guide. Which was very stressful for me. This is the main reason otherwise everything is fine. Placements I haven't go through the placement process but i see in the university placement quality is good. I have seen many students get placed from campus. They are getting good salary package. College is quite supportive.

Campus Life

University has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment. All necessary facilities are present in the university. Everything is well maintained. Instruments and infrastructure research work should be improved more, other than this everything is well maintained. Spaces are clean and the food is hygienic. Food courts are good. Wifi and smartboards are in use and well maintained. the library is having all the required books. Sports centres are well maintained for the students. The College campus is good. The best feature is the infrastructure. The building is quite big covering a huge area. A lot of activities are proceeding daily. Students are friendly. Teachers are good but some of them are rude also. The support staff is good. Lab attendants are really supportive.

The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
