Remarks

LPU University is an appropriate college if you looking for a college where you can enhance your skills and experience new things. They always support new ideas and help to implement our ideas. And the best thing about LPU is hygiene, cleaning. So basically from my perspective, there's nothing as negative I can count on. Sometimes you might feel like a bad management system but still, it is not that bad. Overall everything is positive as I have learned things that will help me in my cooperate career. Basically, I got un admission to college through ACPC, which regulates the admission of the candidates to the professional degree courses. It is the government Committee which done the counseling process in a fair and transparent manner. It declares the merit list, based on which we can compare our merit and get admission in college accordingly.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

As LPU University is a private university, curriculum and exam structure differs from government colleges. In my opinion, the course that our college provided is far better than government colleges. They can provide the subject and syllabus which are necessary and highly useful in our career. Forex - we can able to learn AI/ML, Python, C+, lot in our college as subject wherein in other colleges these are not in their curriculum. Also, exam structures are slightly different. We have mid 1, mid 2 exams of 40 marks, which comes 2-2.5 months every semester. Then we have a final exam of 100 marks every semester. After that, there's a practical exam of 100 marks and finally, viva, which is conducted by external faculty. We are getting results by estimating all marks, attendence, overall behavior, manuals, assignments, submission. Faculties in our college are very supportive and interactive. Teachers are passionate and drive the mission of students. They are always ready to teach a new things.

Placement Experience

5

LPU University students get 90% placement this year. Almost every student who wants to get selected are placed in good companies. We have a campus drive in college. Throughout the semester approximately 75+ companies came to our college and hire students. Also, we have a pool campus drive in which students of different colleges can also participate and get placed. So job opportunities in my colleges are remarkable. Internships are not provided.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure at LPU University is more feasible than other colleges. For professional courses like engineering we need to pay 80000/- INR per semester as well as 15000/-. Here 80000/- is the semester fee. And we need to pay 15000/ examination fee because of a private university. As per I am eligible for a government scholarship, I don't apply for a University scholarship. But there is a scholarship for lower caste students in LPU College. There's a time duration where you need to apply for the scholarship. Generally SC/ST, OBC students can apply and get scholarships. Around 20k or half of the fees can get less by applying for a scholarship.

Campus Life

4.5

Taking from the January We have Kite Fest in which students get together in the ground and fly the kites and enjoy. In March we have an annual function at our college named: Galore. So much fun is there galore. There is dance, drama, singling, role play, games like cricket, badminton, tennis, chess, volleyball, racing, etc. In October we have a Tech fest every year. In tech fest, there are different kinds of technical and non-technical events. For every branch, we have events by which we can enhance our skills and clear fundamentals in tech. Events. Also, a poster presentation is there in which we can showcase our ideas are realistic and useful, we can get funds from the college to implement our ideas. There is convocation, foundation day, and many more events are there.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.
