Remarks

I have got rank of 42,178 in the JEE MAINS exam that is conducted across the India. And to be eligible for this course(i.e., CSE),we should be qualified in mains and the admission process depends on priority based. We need to opt for this college via the councelling based on the MAINS exam.There is also the application form for this college in the official website of the college. The application fee costs around 2000. There is no need in the improvement in the admission process.

I have chosen this course as i am very interested in this computers field as my family is from the software background. The faculty and student ratio is about 1:20 in this college. All the faculty in this college are well qualified and very passionate in teaching and delivering the subject to the students. The exams are easy to pass if we follow the classes of the lecturers daily.

Internships Opportunities

Many companies offer internships to our college students like Deolitte, Amazon, Facebook, CISCO. There are many roles in which we can do the internship like project manager and team leader. Some internships are provided with the stipend and some internships are provided without the stipend. By doing the internships, we can enhance our knowledge and also we can get the real-time job experience.

Placement Experience

From the 6th semester, the students will be eligible for the placements. Many companies visit our college including the MNC's like CAP Gemeni, Tech Mahindra, Syntel, Polaris, TCS and many more... All the companies together offer a total of around 400 job offers to the students. The highest package is 25lpa and the average package is 5lpa. Almost 70% of the students gets placed in the campus placements. My plans after the degree is to pursue masters in US.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees of this college is around 70,000 for an academic year and the cost to study is less when compared to the other colleges. There is some fees hike policy in this college for every 3 years based on the various parameters. We can also avail the scholarship in the academic fee if we study well and score good marks in the previous semesters.

Campus Life

There are so many fests that are conducted in the college both by the management and also by the students for the various events. The annual day has no name and it is conducted by the management in the month of march of every year. There are also many tech fests that are conducted in the college and every student gets the chance to show their talent. The library is vey large and it contains all the types of books in it apart from the studies. We can make use of the reading room to study them or we can take the books with us and return them within two weeks. The classrooms are very neat and hygienic and it has all the amenities like board, screen, projector etc..All the kinds of sports are allowed to play in the college and all the games have their respective playgrounds. There are many social groups that are organized by the students like dance club,singing club,talk club etc..

supportive campus environment with the comfortable in the classess

limited practical exposure is provided by the campus and also there should be more hand on international events

placements at my college are very very good, as everybody gets the chance to sit for the placements at the same level. we get the placement oportunities at the 6th semster also. in my brancg it is very good

A Vibrant Campus with good learning and great opportunities

Likes

good infrastructure , large libraries and practical labs
helpful and large opportunities in campus

Dislikes

class size can be large , it helps every child to interact
academic work is quite high , the schedule may feel hectic especially during examination

The curriculum is relevant and covers core cse subjects like programing DSA and DBMS . it provides good fundamental for placements and further studies , more practical projects and industry based teaching would improve it .

75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

I like the most about the college the placement criteria and the way built your confidence
Also the hostel is very good and provide food 4 times
The campus explorer is also very nice according to me

Faculty is not soo well had a lit bit inconvenience

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.
