Remarks

The admission process is quite simple, you have to appear for a test namely LPUNEST, it can be appeared in any mode you want , either online or offline. So now let's talk about the cut off , first of all to qualify LPUNEST you need to score minimum of 30 % . You will be getting some scholarship if you have scored good in LPUNEST even you haven't scored good in LPUNEST and scored 80-90% in +2 you get a scholarship of 80000/year and if you scored 70-80 you get 60000/year , if 60-70% then you get a scholarship of 20000/year.And you will be also getting the Early decision Benefit (EDB) of 10000 which will be getting deducted from your tution fees. So that's the whole idea of entrance test and admission procedure.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

If I talk about faculty members, they are very cooperative and qualified. The teaching process is very smooth like in every semester , there will be 3 class assessments out of which 2 best will be counted so you get prepared by the end of semester. Now comes the examination part you have to appear for a mid term and an end term examination per semester. To be very honest passing the term exams is not a difficult nut to crack because of regular class assessments.

Internships Opportunities

5

There are lot of internship opportunities. You get an opportunity to do 1 year internship and you will be getting duty leave for the same. From 3rd year students can appear in the placement interviews.

Placement Experience

4

Job possibilities at LPU are higher whilst in comparison to different private colleges. I realize many seniors of mine who positioned withinside the reputed agencies due to the fact the possibility is supplied through the university. It is one of the those private college, wherein placements are very high. The most effective non-public university withinside the north of India to provide the first-class applications in B.Tech of CSE. During the time of my induction itself, I actually have visible some students, who were given positioned withinside the agencies with the bundle of 17 LPA. The college placement pressure absolutely works difficult for the scholars to get positioned. LPU gives a hi-tech, world-magnificence education. The school is honestly excellent and notably knowledgeable.. Professors are properly qualified, and are easily to be had for our assistance. Students have to finish a particular quantity of schooling as properly.

Fees and Financial Aid

If your percentage in +2 is 80-90% you get a scholarship of 80000 per year which will be getting deducted from tution fee, if it is 70-80% you get scholarship 60000 per year and if your percentage is 60-70% the you get a scholarship of 40000 per year. And if haven't scored any of the above percentage then you can go for LPUNEST Scholarship test, if you score well in LPUNEST or even if you have good score of JEE MAINS then you can grab a scholarship.

Campus Life

4

College life is busy, yet enjoyable. The campus is frequently in the news due to varied events. The educational part is taken care of through the workshops and seminars that are held. If the weather permits, they even offer open classes, which I've heard makes the lesson more exciting. Apart from that, the large auditorium is constantly buzzing with activities such as guest lectures by industry professionals. There are numerous enjoyable activities, such as nighttime parties hosted by the students affairs department, when some celebrity or other frequently visits the school. Evenings with a DJ add to the fun. There is a fun zone, a swimming pool, a gym, and numerous more amenities.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Lovely Professional University offers 1 seater, 2 seater, 3 seater, 4 seater, and 6 seater hostel rooms. Yes, the girl's and boy's hostels are completely separate. The overall hostel expenses, including mess and laundry fees, are roughly 90000 INR per year. The food quality in the LPU hostel is above average; you can get almost any type of meal in the hostel mess on a daily basis. The hostel mess is divided into two areas, one for North Indian students and the other for South Indian students, and it is entirely up to the students to decide what kind of food they wish to eat; each week's menu chart includes a wide choice of foods.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.
