Remarks
So fundamentally their is no entrance exam for this course you only need clear your 12th standard examination but the cutoff of college was 76% so need to achieve above that or equivalent to 76%. I had got all admission-related forms, dates in college itself there were many college staff to help for filling up the form. There are some reservation and minorties quotas but I didn't avail. And I would like to have processed on a specific college app so it will be easy for all to get the admission process smooth and easy.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this program because I was very much kneen about commerce, stock market, financial analysis, and also used to read various economic news.Teachers of the college are cooperative and well diverse. The course is absolutely relevant and has many career options. The teachers make the students industry ready which helps in building our future. The exams are moderate and challenging which helps us in studying hard. Our exams are the internals of 25 marks and semester of 75 marks which held in Nov and April. And exams are a quite difficult but if you prepare well it would be easy for you.
Internships Opportunities
I got the Internship at a firm called Capital agency in which I was supposed to assist an analyst with all data collection work and using mainly excel then so it was an overall good experience I also got to corporate etiquette and learned how to talk with colleges, seniors and with clients. So overall a good experience for me.
Placement Experience
From thebegining of the 5th semester we can avail for the campus placements.L S Raheja College does not offer placements as such, but often companies like Motilal Oswal come for campus recruitment. Motilal Oswal is a frequent recruiter along with TCS. As a fresher you can expect cost to company (CTC) as per industry standards (around 12k-20k). After getting the degree my plan is to do CFA.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees for this program is 21000 P.A and it have all-inclusive fees and it has various fees components such as gym fees, tuition fees, laboratory fees, college maintenance fees, IT fees, Library fees, ID card fees, etc. I haven't got any scholarship but our college provides it so for students who are facing a financial crisis and good at academics can avail themselves it. I am looking forward to get the campus placement which we will be soon announce by the college placement cell.
Campus Life
College has various inter college and intra college fests. One of them is parallax which was a success. They have annual day at St Andrews college, which is very nice. They also take you for industrial visit (self finaced courses).Talking about infrastructure, they do have a computer lab and library decent enough to fit an entire batch of around 70-80Students. The classrooms of self financed courses like BAF, BMS, B.F.M. etc. Are air-conditioned. Wi-Fi is available on campus. They also have a gymkhana with indoor games like table tennis and carrom, outdoor games like badminton and throw ball also available. Canteen is not so good, though its always full. College has many clubs such as NSS ,cultural forum, reading club and many more
