Remarks

I have got admission in this college with jee mains and inter exam percentage the minimum percentage to get qualified is 75% . And they had also asked me to take enterance examination for the scholarship test . But I got disqualified in that test . To get seat in this college we should apply online and once if our application gets selected we will get a call for further process . The process also seems very easy and during the admission day I have visited the whole college my first feeling on my first visit was very exited and wonderful .

Course Curriculum Overview

Our curriculum was as same as IIT and NIT colleges . The teaching topics and concepts are very essential ones. The faculty of our college are all skilled ones and all of them got thier PhD in prestigious IIT colleges. Our exams are conducted once in every year . Every year a new computer language will be introduced to us and the teaching by our faculty will be such an effective that they teach from the basics to the job gaining level . The exams papers will also be very easy and papers are not prepared for marks they are prepared to test student understanding capacity .

Class Size: 125Course Fees: INR 1500000 per year

Placement Experience

The companies like Google , Amazon , Microsoft , Infosys approach our college to offer Job opportunities every year . The minimum package starts from 10 lakhs per annum to 45 lakhs per annum . The companies 100's of opportunities every year . The average percentage of students getting placements every year was about 70% to 80% . It all depends on our hardwork and confidence . My plans was to persue mtech in a prestigious IIT . Actually I wanna persue a PhD and work as a professor . I will work hard and persue my goal .

Fees and Financial Aid

My yearly fees in the college was around 1.5 lakhs to 2 lakhs per year . In the starting that is , before admission the college conducts every student to attempt an exam. That exam was a scholarship test the students who get qualified in that exam will get fee reimbursement or a concession in the yearly fee . I too have tried for the exam but unfortunately I didn't get qualified in the exam . So, my father took a student study loan to pay my fee . After me persuing a job I am going to pay my college fee .

Campus Life

The life in the college was very advantureous and thrilling experience . Everyday you can enjoy a new surprise in the college . Our college has a big outdoor auditorium , music club , dance club , shooting spot , sports club , big ground , stadium , etc . Our college was a mini colour full world we also had a underground auditorium , shopping malls ,etc . The classrooms are all AC class rooms with the best infrastructure . Each class room has a techno and online board . The technology in our college will be updated day by day according to the world development .

Hostel Facilities

I have opted to live in college hostel as I am from Andhra Pradesh going to a place in Punjab were I don't know where to live how to live I got little bit nervous in the starting days but the way the hostel facilities are provided and the people in the hostel made me feel as if it is my home with in no time . Our hostel has a very tasty food menu and also asian menu . We are provided with all types Indian dishes even chainese and Japanese food items too . Our hostel also contains AC facility and each room has a good interior .

Hostel Fee: INR 300000 per year

supportive campus environment with the comfortable in the classess

A Vibrant Campus with good learning and great opportunities

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.
