Remarks
To be able to avail admission to this college you have to give JEE examination and you will get your preferred branches according to your JEE Mains rank as well You can avail yourself through the JAC website Although I was from outside Delhi, here we have a special quota for Delhi students excluding the category reservation. The admission process was through JAC and was held successfully though was a little bit slow.
Course Curriculum Overview
I was so indulged in Mechanical engineering from my childhood. It is approximately a 95:1 which is a student-to-teacher ratio. All the professors here are a lot experienced and one of the best faculties we can get.
Internships Opportunities
So DTU being a famous engineering university, gives students opportunities for students to beg internships in some famous companies. One of them is Sprinklr which gives a very good stipend. But for better internships, you have to maintain a better Cgp
Placement Experience
From the third year, students are allowed to apply for campus placements A lot of big companies including Google, Mercedes, Oil India Corpo , etc have visited here and made some huge offers the highest package was from google 1.2Cr pa approx and the average is 12-15 LPA A very high percentage of students get placed here I am planning to pursue GATE.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are predetermined so they will increase according to the pre-designed plan. And as it is a government institute so the fees are quite reasonable according to other engineering institutions. There are a few scholarships we can get through publishing some research or getting some achievement during your college tenure. You also get a scholarship for being a branch topper.
Campus Life
DTU conducts one of the biggest fests in North India 'ENGIFEST', it's so fun and many famous bands and personalities give their performances. All the classrooms are pre-equipped with ACs, projectors, whiteboards, proper desks, lighting, etc. We have a very large outdoor and indoor sports area, we have a separate running track , cricket ground, football ground, and separate area for playing kabaddi, badminton , volleyball, basketball, tennis, etc
Hostel Facilities
To be honest, hostels are not good as you might expect them to be. They are very old. You only get a bed, chair and a table for your stay. and it is a three sharing room. Only consider getting hostels in the first year if you are an outside Delhi student or if you are a girl student that too if you are lucky enough. Bawana road or near rohini sec 18/17
