My college DTU

This college takes admission through the jee mains scorecard but the counselling is different from JOSAA. It conduct their own counselling process called JAC. first you have to apply by going on JAC Delhi website by paying the counselling fees which is refundable if you did not get the college or opt out from the counselling process. I got benefit of OBC reservation. You just had to provide the reservation certificate according to their format and it is needed at the time of admission. Counselling is very easy and the volunteers helped a lot throughout the process.

I choose mechanical engineering course due to my interest in physics and machines. We had four batch of mechanical engineering and each batch had 75 students in it. Different batch have different faculty members. So the student to faculty ration is quite good. All the faculty members are well experienced in their respective subject. The teaching method is amazing. In one semester exams takes place at two times. one is mid semester and other is end semester exam. Paper difficulty level is medium if one had studied well he could easily pass the exams.

Various companies provide various internships under various roles which include SDE, Analyst, etc. If YIC had prepared enough you can easily get an internship with good stipend. Generally stipend ranges from 8000 to 10000.

From the starting of 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements. At least 157 companies visits DTU during placement period which includes Google, yahoo, Facebook, amazon and many more. Placement percentage of year 2021 is 78 percent students gets placed.

The course fee is quite high. And it increases every year by a margin of 15k. like in the 1st year i paid around 190k and in the second year i paid 205k and so on. But there are various scholarship provided by the college itself and several provided by the govt. of Delhi. And according to the eligibility one can get up to 100 percent scholarship.

Engifest is our annual fest and every year it receives footfalls of around 100k. and during the year there are many fest like yuvaan, sporttech, ecell DTU and many more. Library is quite large and you can find almost every books and journals. Classroom is equipped by ac and smart projector and well spaced according to the class strength. Our college has sports complex which had almost types of sports courts and a stadium and a race track too. It also had gym which operates free of cost.

DTU also has hostel facility but it is only for outside Delhi students. First priority is given to outside Delhi students. Hostels are okay okay. They give you one bed, a table and chair. But it does not allow you to equip ac but you can use coolers by paying extra money. Mess food is average not expect to much about mess food. Online registration is done every year and once you got your name on the list you can accommodate hostel by providing the asked documents. It is affordable too comparing to PG outside the college campus.
