BIT Bangalore, BE, Information Science & Engineering

Reviewed on Jul 2, 2022(Enrolled 2020)

Remarks

COMEDK EXAM is there for non-Karnataka Students and the CET exam is there for Karnataka Students. You need to score more than 100 in COMEDK i.e. out of 180 to get a good rank and secure a seat in the top 5 colleges of COMEDK.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I'm from ISE i.e. Information Science and Engineering and Bangalore being an IT hub provides the best opportunity for CSE and ISE and specially BIT holds a good placement record. Student intake is 120 in ISE! The faculty are approx 10.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 201960 per year

Internships Opportunities

4.5

The college motivates you to get internships, but they don't provide anything as such. Holidays are provided to complete the internship for a 1-month minimum for our batch i.e. 2020 holidays aren't there coz we already started the session late but it won't go on for the further batches. The teachers are interactive and try to give their best, we'll have to admit not all are good but not all are bad too, some are the best inspirations. The college focuses on projects and gives projects and assignments in diff semesters and assigns grade points for that, to make everyone do so.

Placement Experience

4.5

The average package is 6-7LPA which is good enough for this college while the highest goes to 41LPA at times. Almost all students of CS/IT branch get placed For the number of companies visiting and no. of offers, we can refer to our college website.

Fees and Financial Aid

The scholarship isn't provided by the college but they guide you to get central and national level scholarships. The fee structure varies for different batches i.e. as of now for 2022 the fee structure is not the same as that of the 2020 batch. NSP scholarship is for gen, sc, st, obc all.

Campus Life

The campus isn't huge. They just provide you with minimal requirements necessary for sustaining there. Many clubs are there in a bit, some are active some are good while some aren't at par. The library is as per expectations, no proper sports area is there, but still, they manage to hold sports meet, the point is they don't disappoint students and Yes there are many clubs formed by students and they give their best to provide us with the best!

Likes

Yes the first thing I liked is the campus and the environment there is no harrasment and strict action will be taken.
And second thing is faculty members are so helpful and they always help to students and different festival
And also the campus provide all facilities and make helps to sports and ration is almost equal of boys and girls

Dislikes

Yes some things are there which I disliked first is the campus is very strict and no function are organised yearly ones or twice is very sad thing as compared to other campus
Second thing is food students facing some problem with the food which hear prepared so outsiders facing lot of problems
Third is about hostel facility is good but very strict only once a week the students should go out side and write leave letter to go there native places.

Placement Experience:

Students got opportunity to eligible after 3rd year mainly in 7th semester students get opportunity for campus interview. In my college the company which came to hire is congizent and microsoft and amezon and dell nearly 80 to 90 company are came. The company offers is highest is 40 lack per annum which google provide and minimum is 4lack . Mainly 80 percent of the students are placed every year but due to war happened in the global impact in placement I want to do masters in abroad and then go to the company

the library which is very peace and silent
average places to take photos and nearby there is nandi hills to visit

Dislikes

i dislike the distance of the college, its too large, should walk soo much
the cost of stationaries in the general store
i dont think so faculy are that much expertise , only countable people worth it

Course Curriculum Overview:

see i have choosed this course because it is very relatable to CSE, coz my ranking was not sufficient to get this course. the course which i took "Information Science and Engineering" is really a good course. they make us real world engineers. the area they shld actually improve is, hiring worthable faculty.

Insights of the Gopalan college of engineering and Management by a First Year Student

Likes

Canteen is fine has nice and tasty food and quite a lot of options
Library is also good has every book related to my course and few others as well
Lab facilities are also very nice and the college has a nice crowd

Dislikes

It's nothing like I expected, they don't let students use the ground or turfs. Facilities are pretty bad.
They charge money for everything and has zero facilities for college students. Everything is for there school students.
College is very small and the faculties are rude to students. (Mostly the case)

Placement Experience:

Student are eligible for placements from there 7th semester but I wouldn't recommend relying on college for placements. Not many companies come to this college so placements are really bad. If u have skills it would be better to apply to companies on your own. I don't have details on how many students gets placed but as much as I know it's about 30-50 % And average package is also very low. I plan of gaining skills and certification on my own and job hunting myself in 4th year through my connections and internships. Or maybe go abroad for masters As I'm a first year student I don't know much about which companies come and how much they offer.
