Remarks

My college can be the best example of network connectivity, we all are connected via a single platform, you are not supposed to even stand in line to pay fees or to fill up a complaint, just a ping away. The bad thing about my college is, they have planned b.tech for 4 years only. I wish if someday government plans to make b.tech and m.tech as one single degree. We could have lived more here together.

Entrance Preview

I gave NEST, a base exam to get a scholarship into our college, plus JEE Mains were taken into consideration.

Course Curriculum Overview

We have an own home website called UMS(University Management System), this very platform contains every detail from class test results to attendance, from daily class schedule to course curriculum, results, what's going into university, extra courses, events, people visits, news, health, fees info, overall every inch of this university is accessible from your device, not only students but parents are given access to the parents account where they are given a chance to keep a track on their wards performance.

Internships Opportunities

Our college provides internships and also provides lots of offer to go for internships, a lot many companies visits our campus to provide us internships , it depends and its their choice on how they are willing to select students. Some take GD's on the other end some prefer PI and some conduct entrance exams.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is damn feasible and if you are already a scholar at your school, then your fee structure will be around 19000 a sem. Does that look expensive! I guess not. Yes it's true that not everybody is that good at studies but, some are good at sports, I prefer saying look at opportunities.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship benefits up to Rs. 1.5 lac per year per student based on best of the following: -NEET -JEE MAIN/ADV -12th Results -CAT -MAT -NCC -Cultural -R&D -Co-curricular -Social Service -Bravery Awards -LPUTABS -NATA -GATE -GPAT -Fee Concession for Defense and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) and their dependents -Special Scholarship for Toppers of Education Board -Lateral Entry programs, on the basis of % in qualifying exam or qualification previous to eligibility qualification -Diploma programs, on the basis of % in qualifying exam or qualification previous to eligibility qualification

Campus Life

Campus life is just, let me try, we have students from all over India, then we have students from all around the globe whereas when we talk about campus life, its luxurious I would say, we a mall is known as UNI Mall inside the campus, we have shopping centers inside every hostel for the basic needs, snacks that run 24x7. We have bolling arena, we have 2 gyms, 2 grooming shops, books shops, library, shooting, and archery grounds, dance, yoga, singing classes, guitar classes, a hotel called UNI Hotel, we also have UNI Hospital with 4 ambulances running on-demand, we have a fire station, football basketball cricket grounds. I guess you got my point, its fun to be here as my title suggest BEST LAND TO GROW.

Hostel Facilities

hahaha....it makes me laugh when it comes to mess food. No, not because it's bad but I would say its fluctuating and that true, some days are bad and that's almost true for every college, but on the brighter note I would say, not every day is bad . even breakfast is awesome, lunch is pretty good enough. It's not that harsh to intake but my this feeling is just due to tinda, a vegetable which I don't like. but overall mess its good. HOSTELs on the other hand is superb, our wardens, security guards and 24x7 CCTV surveillance keeps everyone safe plus the form of Anti Ragging we are asked to fill at the admission time helps in maintain peace all around the campus.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are wonderful. As if we die to help each other here. people who faced any problem do not think as if you also face the same, no. but they feel so connected that they will help you and will make sure that you won't fall in the same pit. MEET SOME OF OUR ALUMNI WORKING AT GOOGLE, YAHOO & OTHER BIG BRANDS AT PACKAGES OF Rs. 1 CRORE

Exam Structure

3 class tests + 1 midterm + term paper(optional) + end term paper. The pressure is the key feature of LPU I must say. the way they groom us is appreciable. Here we not only learn subjects but also to balance our academics and personal lives. Class tests and practicals are no burdens if you aren't a procrastinator, it's my self-belief that nothing is hard or large its your will and how fast you do it. Some days are hectic but I would say, its a part of life, it not a life.

Admission

Admission is done in 3 phases. In which you get the best and brighter scholarship in the first phase that happens in April-may, then next phase in May-June, and last in July. NEST is a compulsory exam for you, also JEE Mains, 12th results, and other co activities, scouts and guides, NCC, sports, and certificates and awards are taken into light while awarding scholarships to the students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
