Remarks

Admissions can be done only through Tamilnadu engineering admission (TNEA). No entrance exams are needed. If you have a high enough cut off, you can join. Based on your category cut off required must differ.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The teachers are good in this government college of engineering in Salem. The teachers are well qualified and knowledgeable. And the quality of teaching is also good. The curriculum is relevant to the course of study and exploring other departments too.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

We have to complete any internships by the third year. Mostly, the sales force gave internship opportunities to us each year, and if we perform well, we will get internships in Zoho, Assenger, and developing start-up companies.

Placement Experience

4.5

In 2022, 90 percent of students from the government college of engineering in Salem have been placed. Top-tier MNCs such as Wipro, Infosys, TCS, Tech Mahindra, and fast-growing startups 100% of the students got internships from my course and companies like Zoho, Salesforce, etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

For BE CSE course first year tuition fee will be 16000, you will pay 5000 for counseling , and you have to pay the balance 11000 while admission. Tuition fee will become lower year by year. State and national scholarship are provided.

Campus Life

4.5

The infrastructure is quite good. A few days ago, a lab was built called VR Labs, which would cost around 2 crore. One of the best infrastructures was provided in this college among the 11 government colleges in Tamil Nadu. The old hostels are not good, but new hostel buildings are under construction.

Hostel Facilities

3

For each year's students, hotel blocks are there, with separate blocks for each year and separate mess halls for each year's students. The mess foods are OK, not too good, but they are value for money. Per month we are charged a maximum of 1700.

Placement Experience:

One thing I really need to appreciate at CIT is its placement training program. The placement team conducts regular sessions on 1. aptitude 2. coding 3. communication skills 4. group discussions and 5. interview preparation which helped me feel more confident during placements. The trainers were friendly and always encouraged us to improve our skills step by step. They provide continuous guidance and feedback throughout the training process. Mock interviews and one to one assessments helped me to understand my strength and weak areas and I work on improvements . These sessions not only improved my technical and communication skills but also boosted my confidence . The placement training team played an important role in preparing me for career opportunities and industry expectation
