Remarks

Every student can join these courses easily but there is an eligibility criteria of 12th marks must be greater than 75 and must be appeared to a competitive exam likes jee and lpu also conduct an entrance exam LPUNEST. process of admission was lengthy in offline mode but it would be easier if it was done online mode. The application form is available on the website and application details are also provided on the website do regularly check the website

Course Curriculum Overview

I have enrolled on the course Btech in computer science I have opted for this course because I saw things we learn in computer science and in future, this subject will be dominant because every thing is in digital mode. The student ratio is good having 55 students in each class and having good competition among us. Professors are really having the knowledge to boost their knowledge and give their experiences to do minimum mistakes. The exam Schedule is good I think the online mode is much better than the offline mode

Class Size: 55Course Fees: INR 250980 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The cost I pay for the course is around 2lakh per year. Lpu provides a scholarship test for student who is financially weak. The scholarship is divided into three categories. The division of three categories are differentiated in term of marks you got on the test I was in category 2 and I got a scholarship of 40 per cent of the fee structure. I am also hearing that the student also get a part-time job they can do and can get experience

Campus Life

The annual fest was too much fun fest called youthfest. Recently I heard about the 2020 youthfest which was a great fest in LPU that ever happened I heared from a senior. many tech fests Greekfest and TEDx fest etc happened in recent months. There is s huge library on our campus I'm very much happy about that and I do spend lots of time there to gain knowledge. There is a huge campus that I regret in that case. As I'm interested in sports so I can relate to how a big campus is beneficial for us and also provides sports activities to participate in it.

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus

Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

The environment of the college is so nice, helpful staff, AC labs for CS deptt.
Canteen and water facilities and park in both deptts

Dislikes

Distance of travelling coz for me its too much far
Nothing as of now everything was good enough

- Limited campus opportunities were available, and most students become eligible from the final year. - The average package was around 2-5 LPA. - after my degree my plan is to improve my employability my strengthening my technical skill in my domain

From 7th sem students become eligible for campus placements and tata or Infosys companies visited and about 60 to 70 percent students were placed and my plans after getting the degree is to opt for higher studies doing mtech from iit

I like the most about the college the placement criteria and the way built your confidence
Also the hostel is very good and provide food 4 times

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
