Remarks

To get into NSUT, you have to take JEE Mains and then have to fill out the JAC application form which will be available on the JAC website after the final result of JEE Mains because NSUT is a state government University and have a separate counselling process. Apart from the normal reservations of SC/ST/OBC/EWS, NSUT has 85% reservation for the students of the Delhi NCR Region. To avail of the 85% reservation, the student must pass his/her 12th class from the Delhi NCR School and to avail of another reservation of caste along with that 85% reservation the student must have the caste certificate issued from the Delhi Government. I just want that the 85% reservation criteria of the Delhi students should come down to 50% so that more qualified students will get more chance

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I chose this course because I was getting this course only based on my JEE Mains Rank. There are around 80 students in our sections and 5 teachers of different subjects teach us. Almost all the teachers had done PhD from the top IITs. Most of the teachers are supportive. NSUT likes offline teaching. Therefore, all our classes are offline and so the exam is also offline. All the exams are held as per the schedule.

Internships Opportunities

4

Since I am in the second year only therefore I cannot tell you much about the internship. But I can tell that many companies come here for internships. The internship season in our college starts in the third year.

Placement Experience

5

From the start of the 7th semester, the companies start recruiting students. Around 250 companies come to our college. This year the highest package was Rs.1.24 crore by Google London, the average was around Rs.16.4 Lakhs and the median package is around Rs.13 Lakhs. The placement percentage was 94 this year.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees hike every year by around Rs.10,000. There are three types of scholarships provided: 1. E- district (By Delhi Government) 2. CVSPK (By NSUT) 3. NSP (By Central Government) I am currently in the 2nd year of my college, so I did not get any internship as it starts in the 3rd year.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life is good if you balance your study with your college fun. The Annual fest of NSUT is "MOKSHA". And the tech fest is "RESONANZ". All types of course-related books are available in the Library. Cricket, Badminton, Football, Basket Ball, Table Tennis, Lawn Tennis, Volleyball, and Running track are available. Almost all types of societies are present in the college, for example, VENACTUS is the Gaming Society of our college.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostel facilities are better than I expected. Most of the students would get a single room in the first year itself, which rarely any college provide. The meal quality is also good. According to me, the hostel will cost you around 12000/month.

Other Applied Colleges

Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology - [MANIT] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Electronics & Communication Engineering)

1. NSUT attracts much more companies than MANIT. 2. NSUT is located in New Delhi

Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology - [MANIT] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Electronics & Communication Engineering)

NSUT attracts much more companies than MANIT. And the location of this college is also in New Delhi (in a crowded area).

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.

If you study passionately and have decent communication skills and some important competencies, I assure you that you will secure a position in a great company. Here at IIT Delhi, you earn what you work for; you can receive salary packages as high as 2 crores, but some offers start as low as 4 lakhs per annum.
