Remarks
There is no entrance exam. But there are eligibility criteria for admission into courses. For B.Tech in Computer science and engineering (CSE) minimum percentage requirement is 75, below which you will not be allowed to rake admission. For different courses, eligibility criteria are different.
Course Curriculum Overview
B.Tech in CSE is the choice of almost every science student these days. Because it offers a great career ahead. My college is famous for this course. Also, the curriculum is up to the level. Every course is designed according to the needs of modern days. Also, the staff is very good. They have good knowledge about what they are teaching. Most of them hold a degree of Ph.D. in their respective specialization. Also, there is enough staff for students. There is one deformity, that is every day has long teaching hours. Every semester has two mid-semester exams followed by a final semester exam conducted by Punjab technical university. The difficulty of the exam is moderate to difficult.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities are also there. Right from the second-year companies come with internship opportunities to hire interns. Sometimes it is paid while sometimes is unpaid. But it is a great opportunity to gain some knowledge and uplift your resume from others. Currently, GOOGLE has come here for interns with a stipend of 92,000.
Placement Experience
College offers excellent placement opportunities to its students. Almost more than 600 companies come for placement every year. More than 8000 students get a jobs during placement drives. The average package is usually 8LPA. The highest package is 40.9 LPA. Many tech giants like GOOGLE, MICROSOFT, AMAZON, and WALMART come here for placements. If you have the courage, the college will provide you with the opportunity to get your life settled.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is told before admission. For my course (B.Tech CSE ) 45k is the fee for one semester. For the final semester exam, you have to pay an extra fee for the exam direct to the university at the university portal which is between 1000-2000. For SC, OBC, and GIRL students they provide information about every scholarship released by the Government of India.
Campus Life
Campus life is too good. We have 4 canteens to sit and chill with your friends. Also, almost every food is available on campus. Free wi-fi access is also given to students. There is a competition almost every two weeks for students to take part in and grow themselves. Also, there are many clubs related to every field like photography, coding, dance, etc. Anyone can join them if they want to. Also, the DSW (dean of students welfare)department is taken of the needs of students. Every sports equipment is there. You can take and play with them and return them to the Department. The library is also equipped with more than 45000 books. A Digital library is also there. The library is fully air-conditioned. Every year fest is also organized by dsw department. Also, many actors, actors from the Bollywood and Punjabi industries come.
