Remarks
The admission process was quite easy as everything was online. There was no physical presence involved. Just fill out the registration form and wait for the cut-off. The admissions were based on the merit lists (cut-offs) declared by the university but now it has changed and you need to fill out the registration form and take an entrance exam, CUET for getting admission. I didn't have any reservations so I had to wait till the 3rd cut-off to even apply to a decent college such as Kamala Nehru. The cut-offs were sky-high. Once the cut-off was out and you choose a college and apply for the same on the admission portal available easily on the du website.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose the course as I was interested in the commerce field and I'm pursuing CA professional course alongside so I didn't want a course that was too heavy in the workload just the mediocre one. I wouldn't say the student-faculty ratio is very good as it's a single teacher handling a class of approximately 70 students. Though the qualifications and experience of the faculty members are through the roof they're very efficient. The term exams are almost 3-4 months apart and it's not so difficult to pass if you can mug up the important topics say a month before the exam or just go for the ten years that should solve the issue too.
Fees and Financial Aid
The one thing that makes Delhi university such a catch is that it provides great infrastructure, opportunities and exposure at a very affordable cost. It also provides on-campus placements. Various companies including the big 4 come to various colleges of the du to recruit freshers for their companies and even provide internships and article ships which are paid. For my course , the fee is just INR 13500 per year.
Campus Life
The annual fest of the Gargi college is REVERIE. It takes place during the month of march. Everyone gets excited during the fest as the prep season is where the real growth takes place you learn the practicalities of life how to get things done everything. Here everything is managed by the students so they get excellent exposure and experience with the real world. The library is to die for in Gargi college if you're a bibliophile it has every book you may ever want and it's on 2 floors. Any activity or sport you can think of, you got it. There's an abundance of societies and clubs for sports and extracurriculars
