Galgotias University: The Truth

I got to know about Galgotias University through my elder brother. I got in through merit, as I passed out in the COVID era so the entrance exam that year was canceled and the admissions were going based on the marks that I scored in class 12. I scored 92.6 percent, so it wasn't that difficult to get admission to this university. I had to fill in the admission form which contained my basic info, class 10 and 12 marks, and some other basic information. After filling it I got a call and also an e-mail regarding the acceptance of my admission. And after that, I was asked to pay the first-year fee to book my slot in admission. You can find the application form on their (Galgotias University) official website, the application fee was 500 at my time, and the application dates started in August and ended in October. I don't think there were reservations at my time as it was merit-based. Yes, the improvement could be in the management faculty of the admissions process.

I chose this course because I wanted a great college experience to advance my career. B-tech CS is a popular and in-demand course so there would be high placement and multiple placements. My class contains the standard 1 teacher for 45 students per subject. Teachers are highly qualified as most of them contain Ph.D. in their respective subjects they teach or are highly qualified. Not all of them are good at teaching but some are very good and very helpful overall you have to do self-study to get good marks, but if you ask them for help they would help you with all they can. Here we have 3 CAT and 6 IAs that are internal exams and 1 ETE (end-term examination) at the end of the semester. CAT occurs mostly after 1 and a half months and IAs are after the completion of every unit. The exams are not that difficult to pass if you study a little bit you could easily pass but to get good marks you have to study sincerely.

Placements were provided by AICTE and also a few less know companies, they all were online internships and most of them did not pay any stipend, this is about the 3 sem that I am currently in, in 5-6 sem the internships are provided by the university with good stipend.

Galgotias University is known for its placement as it provides a good amount of placement. Students of 6-7 sem start getting placements. Approx. 95% of students get placement in campus jobs. Most of them get an average package of 500000 lakhs more or less, but some students get 10-12 lakhs or more than that but they are less in number. And some students get 30 -40 or more also but they are rare approx. 3-4 students but some students get that. The highest package that was offered this year was 44 lakhs to one student. Companies like Wipro, Cognizant, Capgemini, TCS, Infosys, Accenture, etc. Companies like Amazon, Airtel, Microsoft, etc. also come for campus placements. I would like to get a job after my degree from one of the good companies mentioned above.

My fee for specialty in B.Tech is 159000 but to a core B. Tech student, it would be around 120000, and depending on the branch it could vary. There are scholarships in the sports area and according to the marks that you scored in JEE exam, there are some scholarships based on the states also but they are pretty hard to get. The placements in this university are quite good as 95of % of students get campus placements while most of them are around 4-5 lakh per annum, many students get around 10-12 lakhs but they are quite a few and generally, some students get 30-50 lakhs per annum to but they are rare mostly 2-3 students. but in a general sense, Galgotias University has good placements.

The Campus is pretty good, 3 blocks and 1 hostel and 2 blocks are in construction. The infrastructure could be better, there are ACs in some classes but they are quite a few of them. Here we have a badminton court, basketball court, cricket ground, football and many more. The annual fest recently conducted was Unifest where Hardy Sandhu came to perform. All sorts of books are available and you could issue any. There are a lot of clubs available here starting from books related to gaming related and also graphics designing. I too am a part of Graphex the design club and it is pretty good, I learn quite a few stuff here.
