Remarks

I wrote Icar entrance exam for agriculture b.sc .eligibility is pass and above 60 percent marks should be obtained in 10+2 &maths students can also write Application available on Icar website and application fee is around 1000 rupes Sc students have 15% and st students around 10% The admission process is very lengthy and difficult

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course because of my passion for agriculture and the agricultural profession Faculty are good well experienced above 10 years of experience Students in every class are 60 Qualification of the faculty Ph.D. in agriculture After the start of the semester within 3months midterm exams and in the 5th-month semester exams If we through with the syllabus we can pass easily

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 35000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

1year has two semesters each semester fee around 20,000 and hostel fee around 30000 per year If you study in the same state you get fee reimbursement from state and we you study in another Icar scholarship of 3000 per month

Campus Life

Social life the college is very good cultural party, freshers party and farewell party We had a huge library of 24 x 7 facilities. In the library, we can get any book related to further studies like m.Sc in agriculture The infrastructure of the college is OK

Hostel Facilities

Hostel infrastructure is not so good provided with mess poor food quality and Wi-Fi avalliable Registration process for the hostel is admission letter and 10000 deposit In the college hostel available

Likes

Education is very good in this college with support to teachers
Teachers are very good and this college nuture
Class room are very good and clean atmosphere.

Dislikes

Regarding education all is good but we face problems regarding transportation.
Over crowded in class room because we have hundreds students in class room.
Except these two all facilities are good.

Placement Experience:

In this course placement is very low but other competative job is many more.5th semester students are eligible for compus placement. Fertilizer and agriculture engineering companies are visiting in this college. 3 lack package will given in company. Average 9cgp will taken every student. My gole is KAS will study after degree.

Dislikes

Class strength is high and ratio of boys and girls are equal 1:1
They provide placement but less comparison with other course.
These are the things they need to improve.

Course Curriculum Overview:

One thing i choose this agriculture field because i have passion in this field. After complete our degree program most go for banking sectors because agriculture now a days no much openings. No need to improve there teaching level because their teaching at topmost. External exam paper are quite difficult

Likes

The college atmosphere.As the campus was too big and the choosed course was bsc in agriculture, the campus was too greenery giving a aesthetic feel
The infrastructure of d clg ,canteen and the lawn in between the different departments.
The library which was too big and included almost every fields.

Dislikes

The college timings,literally it was school ka kind.from 8 to 5pm.it was difficult to sit there
No encouragement towards cultural events .

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum included the syllabus including 22 different departments like agronomy,entomology, pathology, food science, forestry etc...it thought us abt frm basics,but the hing was it included the old syllabus and the new technology in agriculture was noy included.

Good College giving importance to all the extra curricular activities but the thing is very few of the higher authorities involve in some kind of corruption and positive remarks holds that is our college will come up with most innovative and creative projects that had won prizes at various competitions.

My experience at Vijayapur college

In Karnataka, one can get seat in agriculture college through K-CET. We are supposed to give priority order for our colleges. So my priority order was - 1.University of agricultural Sciences, Dharwad 2.College of Agriculture, Vijayapura 3.University of Agricultural Sciences, Raichur 4.GKVK, Bengaluru.. So i got into college of agriculture vijayapura. I couldn't make it to UASD dharwad since the cut off was a big high. I put vijayapura college as my 2nd priority because it is the sub campus of dharwad university itself. Uasd was my frst prefereed university because i have heard a lot about its reputation and faculty and campus life.
