Remarks

I chose this college by counselling gateway under the OBC reservation, we were the last batch to attend the offline counselling method, and I got 165 cut off in HSC, I was the last seat to get into this college under the OBC category. It was a huge competition than to catchup seats. Now, the cutoff range is quite lower than ours, maybe around 150 or something(subject to correction). Otherwise, the method of admission and all the things are simple and good. I personally can say that the process is in an updated version.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Obviously, I chose this course because of my father besides I'm also a little bit interested in choosing this course. Compared to other department staff, electrical department staffs are quite tough to handle on the other hand they are so helpful. We can do projects with them, they will share their knowledge to nurture ours. Most of the faculties are holding their doctorates so there will not be any doubt in their subject handling. Semesters are quite moderate to write, it's according to the papers and the course outcomes we are learning.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Most internships were chosen by ourselves. We searched for companies to work on. Mostly without stipends for internships will be there some of my mates got stipends of maybe around 8k per month. From the placements, students get around a package of an average of 2L to 3L per annum.

Placement Experience

3.5

From the 5th semester, students opt to go for their internships and I think they offer some placements from there. Mostly IT Sectors will come for the placements like Zoho, Accenture, Infosys, etc. Students will practice programming from the 1st year itself it's in the courses too. Then there are several core companies like green Era, Hexaware, etc., but my plan was different way, I started my own startup and currently doing master's there.

Fees and Financial Aid

Compared to other colleges which have the same quality such as infrastructure, faculties, hostel and all, fees are quite less. Placement training will be handled from the 3rd semester, they will provide mostly towards the IT sectors sometimes in the core fields but mostly in the IT. I haven't received any scholarship but my friends used to get some moreover our SNR trust is providing some amount per year for a specifically selected set of students.

Campus Life

4.5

Expecting cultural activities on our campus will give you disappointment. There are two libraries on our campus, and they are conveniently spacious, we can get both courses related books and also other tech books &. Many clubs are there, apart from departments colleges have clubs like innovation, robotics, electric vehicle, engine vehicle etc., these are mostly run by students with the assistance of faculties. I'm grateful to say, I used to be in the electric vehicle club and also made a career over the knowledge gained from the club.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel facilities are the ones they have to develop. BH3 is good to be accommodated which is safe and clean compared to the others. Food providence is quite good there. The registration process is simple, there will be wardens for each floor of the hostels they will guide us to get comfy. I went outside in my 3rd year, for a rented room or a PG, you should have a vehicle with you to get to the college because our campus is 2 km from the gate. There is some PG near the gate but I stayed in an area called kovaipudhur which will be a perfect place to stay. All the needs are there and it's nearest to the city too.

Interview Experience

4

As I mentioned earlier, I was from the government quota(reservation), and I haven't got any interview, test or GD. I just went there with my documents and all, and was directly admitted to the courses and went to the hostels to see my rooms and made my arrangements for the staycation.

Placement Experience:

Students are open to campus placements from 2nd year onwards. There are many companies who visit such as Delloite, Accenture, Cognizant, TCS, Amazon, NatWest, Nokia, etc. Highest package offered is 42 lpa and lowest is maybe 2-4lpa. Around 90% of students get placed here. My plans is to get a job through campus recruitment. Currently I got an internship through campus recruitment in Cognizant so the recruitment is quite nice here.
