I took jee main and I got admission through josaa. You need to secure a CRL of around 3k to get CSE in this college. Allotment of this college and cutoff ranks will be dependent on how many students are interested in that particular year and you can find the required information on the Josaa website.
Course Curriculum Overview
I just find the field a great match for my introverted personality and analytical skills. I’ve always excelled in Math, and I found it easy to write the code. What’s more, though it may sound strange, I’ve always enjoyed the time I spent on my own, working on the computer. I just find IT a fitting field for my skills and personality, and cannot imagine studying anything else. Faculty: student ratio is 1:12 here. Every faculty in Nitr has done their Ph.D. and no need to worry about their teaching because they are good at teaching we will have mid-semester and end-semester exams every semester and can difficulty level is medium to hard.
Internships Opportunities
Companies like Microsoft, SAP Labs, Texas Instruments, Wells Fargo, Oracle, American express, visa, GEP, Samsung R&D, etc come for hiring internships and not only these some core companies like tata steel, Sai gobain, bajaj also come for hiring. IT Companies mostly offer software developer roles and core competencies offer roles based on their branches.
Placement Experience
From the 5th semester, you are eligible for internships, and based on your performance in the internship period you will be offered PPO and from 7th semester you are eligible for placements and Top companies like Microsoft, Amazon, AWS, Wells Fargo, Oracle, SAP Labs, Texas Instruments, Mathworks, etc come for hiring and Highest CTC on campus is around 52 Lakhs offered by AWS. Almost 80-85% of students will be placed and some students plan for higher studies based on their interests.
Fees and Financial Aid
It takes around 8 lakhs for a 4-year B.Tech of any branch and Students can avail of loans in various banks We have a dedicated placement cell for placements and internships and companies come on campus to hire students. I am not eligible for any scholarship so I don't know much about those.
Campus Life
NIT Rourkela is a cool place. A huge campus filled with greenery that you will feel like you are just out of the polluted world. No uniform for classes, just need to wear decent casuals. The pressure of studying will not much if you will be able to maintain a proper equilibrium between all. You will meet students speaking different languages from different places in the country as well as the globe. DC++ is a file-sharing software through which you can avail any and every kind of movie, book, game, software, etc. with a download speed of 1GB/min or better. So many extracurricular activities you can avail of such as swimming, gym, basketball, table tennis, volleyball, cricket, etc. So many clubs are there.
