Remarks

Before admission was done on the bases of board percentage but now admission is done on the bases of the CUET entrance exam. The admission form should also be filled out offline and submitted to the DEAN office on the college campus, in the given time period. The application forms and application dates are available on the official website of HNBGU. The application fees can be submitted online. Reservation is allowed for locals, pahadis , scheduled cast, and tribes. The admission process takes a lot of time that should be reduced, Proper guidance should be given to the students during the admission process.

There are numerous numbers of courses available at this university with experienced faculties. I am a Bsc maths student and have chosen this course because of my interest in this subject. There are 1 faculty: 300 students in maths, 1 faculty: 300 students for biology, 1 faculty: 80 students for defense, 1 faculty: 90 students for chemistry, 1 faculty: 30 students for computer, All the faculties are either at the professor level or either at the assistant professor level. Term exams are held every 6 months and the level of exams is not that hard. I will rate it medium.

Class Size: 600Course Fees: INR 5000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for BSC maths are not high. It goes like Rs 2000 for 6 months. There is no sudden increase or decrease in the prices or rates, taxes, or quantities seen in the college. Thus the fees hike policy does not apply. Different exams are conducted for different scholarships per year. I don't get any job on campus with a stipend yet.

Campus Life

I didn't get to see any annual fest and tech fest on campus, even though different department conducts fest in the months of September and October. A wide variety of books are available in the school library with a wide range of journals. The amenities in the classroom are at an average level. Different groups are available here to help students in any condition, these groups go like - Jai ho, Aryan, and Chaatram.

My honest review of MBPG College

Likes

Being a government college the fees are very low and student friendly most teachers are knowledgeable supportive and clear in explanation focus on studies exam and all over all discipline
Open ground greenery and enough space to relax between classes decent collection of academic books and difference material
Easy to reach from different part of Haldwani lesson unnecessary pressure more focus on its education

Dislikes

Infrastructure is old type som building needs to get repair
Campus placement opportunity are very few from classroom slabs and building need renovation
Not many model amenties compared to private colleges office works can be slow

The curriculum follows kumaun University guidelines ensure standardization and recognition core subjects are well structured and concept curriculum should a include more practical exposure projects work and field work examination are conducted semester wise and generally twice year internal assessments include test assignments and practicals during the semester

Likes

Social life is good with feat happening around in college.
Wifi is provided in our building and the hostel.
Infrastructure of our new hostel and our labs is good

Dislikes

Teachers are qualified but the quality education is not good
Too much restriction on girls but boys are free to roam at night.
Mess food is just acceptable not that good.

Placement Experience:

For campus placement students need to be atleast in last or second last semester of the course. But for internship it's fine even if student is in 1st or 2nd yr. But most of teh students here decided to pursue master from here only and I still don't know have exact idea hown many students got placed in th companies.

College Journey

Likes

Discipline in our college is too good, among students as well as teachers
In our college, children are taught different beneficial activities.
Our college also teaches well, all lectures are on time.

Dislikes

Since it is a government College, politics also goes on in the college at some places which causes trouble.
The exams are very tough which all the students have problem with and they also check it strictly.
Placements cost only 1 or 2%, nothing else.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am preparing for a government job, so I took admission in this course just to get a graduation degree and not for any other reason. There should be some improvement in the lab and also in the exam pattern. The timing of our exam is 2:30 hours which is less time because the exam is lengthy.

Social interaction with others in college is appreciable

Campus of our college is not too good and small
Absence of ac in library and other needed areas
Quality of infrastructure of classes is little bit poor

Placement Experience:

When one enters the final semester they become eligible for campus placement and many companies offers and discusses with them. Companies such as IGL, Vib care pharma, AVANTOR and many others visits every year with offers.

Likes

I like the hostel security and there are no ragging
Good teachers and friendly. Helping us lot.
Good infrastructure and better environment..

Dislikes

Hostel food is not so good. Small hostel room

Placement Experience:

From 7 semester student are eligible for placement. There are various plywood industries and forest base non Timber industries and cricket industries. The highest average package is like 4.5 lakh per year.

Aspects that i like the most is academic program, faculty expertise, and support and infrastructure and the aspects i don't like is outdated and inappropriate facilities
Participating in extracurricular activities
Volunteering for community service projects

Limited opportunity for socialization and campus involvement leads to isolation
Insufficient support for people with disabilities
Exclusively can create an unwelcoming environment for some students

I've applied for Btech course in Benaras Hindu University. But before the counselling result declared I've already taken admission in Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University, Uttrakhand. I 've choosen this university because low BTech course fee and also one more reason is weather and environment of the state uttrakhand. I haven't got rejection from other college. Admission process here is so simple. Only the thing is you have to clear the cutoff marks in CUET exam.
