GCET, B.Tech, Electronics & Communication Engineering

Remarks

The admission process was done through the UPSEE entrance examination Since I have opted for the B.Tech electronics and communication branch through the counseling process. Application fees were 20000 for counseling and have been done within a month. Since then the admission process has been changed for admission, so there are no complaints and everything is good.

Course Curriculum Overview

I have chosen this course because I was good in physics and related things as well my technical skills are much better which makes me a fit candidate for applying in Btech electronics and communication. There are around 150 faculty members along with 1000 students. The teachers are well qualified and educated and their teaching methods and techniques are way simpler and easier. The terms exams help as per the academic calendar on time and it is of moderate level.

Class Size: 180Course Fees: INR 109603 per year

Placement Experience

The students are eligible for placements just after the end of 3rd year. There are various companies such as cognizant, MindTree, HCL, Accenture, TCS, Newgen, etc. have visited. The highest package for a software developer goes up to 35 lakh and the average packages are 5 lacs. 98 percent of students get placed every year. I am planning for MTech after 4 the year.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is that in the first year the college fees were 135000 and hostel fees are 90000 per year. But from the second year, our college fee comes to 109600. There are various scholarships available but the main scholarship is the UP scholarship provided by the government which has given benefits to a large number of students. I have secured a job in Mindtree with a stipend of 25000.

Campus Life

There is various departmental fest that is organized by the college for our entertainment. There are various books available in the library which we can issue from there and further return within the due dates. The overall surroundings are pretty much good with various sports and extra-curricular activities taking place every 2 months.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

There are not many but enough faculties available in the hostel. The menu is decided every month and gets changed after a month on regular basis. The registration process is very simple, just have to go to the admission cell and make the payment for the hostel, and thus it gets allocated.

Hostel Fee: INR 90000 per year

Overall Feedback for College - Admission , Placement , Course , Faculty , Events

Likes

the security is nice at my college like proper cctv and guards , apart from that labs , and my dept is too good. Ac classroom and labs
They have provided average placement like most of companies are mass hiring like tcs and accenture ..and only few companies come to offer big package
Infrastructure is good but there is need of reconstruction at some places the water is ticking in rain season continuously, and curriculum is okay okay not that much relevant to industry , they taught text books rather than the real practical cases

Dislikes

The examination checking - the student who is cr or having any relation with teachers got highest marks without writing the answer properly
The food canteen first of all the canteen is off from the past 1 or 2 year and now it reopen but it sells dirty food , waste foods
The college professor support , they are not that much supportive

Course Curriculum Overview:

coding I am interested in coding that why I offer this course It provide some courses but not all courses are related to real world they have to use practical examples and make students aware of the real industry According to me the time and frequency is okay of exam

What I See at SRM Ghaziabad

Likes

I really appreciated the college clubs and hackathons.
There are variety of events throughout the semester, something to always keep you on your feet.
Some of the faculties are really really experienced and have a unique approach that captures the attention of all the students.

Dislikes

Not many hotspots around campus to hang out after classes.
The infrastructure of the hostel can be improved a lot.
Food in mess is not great, the menu is not very diverse. Everything has aloo.

Placement Experience:

Placements are actually impressive with our college having the highest placement rate among others in the region. We usually achieve ~90% placement. We get opportunities from many large groups, such as Infosys, TCS, JPMC, BNY, Logitech, etc etc The list goes on. The highest package that I saw was of around 1Cr from a company I don't remember their name, but it was based out of SF and was a really great one. Average placement we see is around 12-20LPA packages.

The campus has all basic facilities from food to stationary.

The food may sometimes be not very good.
The campus has less places to spend some free time other than some spots.
Due to small academic hall places may look too crowded.

Placement Experience:

The placements in the college is really one of the the factors convincing everyone to take admission in SRM ,average package from the college is of around 10,00,000 which is really a very good amount in todays stresfull market.

Galgotias College Brutal Honest Review

I have applied for Bihar State Nalanda college, chandi. It gave me aerospace engineering. I didn't choose that because their course curriculum with their faculties and college culture is not fit for getting placement. I wanted some placement oppurtunities through my college and GCET is suitable for it because of their location and college culture. My admission process of my college is through direct admission as well as UPTAC counselling. Direct admission is for those who have low JEE ranks and outside of UP and are early comers. Counselling is for merit based admission for UP students generally with better JEE ranks than direct admission students....Read More

I have also applied for JIIT Noida, but couldn't able to get CSE branch. However, In greater noida, comparing to other private colleges, GCET is much better option because of its location, fee structure, campus size. Admission process happened through AKTU counselling, also 15% seats researved for direct admission as well.
