Remarks
The admission procedure at my time was through the AKTU entrance examination. Then there were two rounds of counseling. Nowadays, it's through JEE MAINS instead of the AKTU examination. After getting allotted, the student has to come along with a guardian to pay the fees and undertaking forms.
Course Curriculum Overview
College is strict in terms of attendance. You must have 75% attendance. The curriculum is set by AKTU which is a Government University. I'm in the CSE branch due to my interest in that field. Alongside, placements are the best in Software related branches. The average class size is 70 students. The teachers in the first year are very good.
Internships Opportunities
Adobe comes for female candidates with SheCodes. Other companies are Infosys, TCS, DXC, Capgemini, Accenture, Global Logic, Josh, Amazon, etc. The roles are varied. Some come for SDE posts while others come for specific ones like Support, Frontend, or Backend engineers.
Placement Experience
Students can pick an intern in 3rd year during the break. After that, they can only join internships or jobs after the 7th semester of university exams. A decent amount of companies visit the college. The packages offered are good. Highest till yet this year is 33 LPA. Some of the recruiters include Infosys, TCS, Accenture, Capgemini, Global Logic, Gainsight, and Amazon.
Fees and Financial Aid
The entire year's fee is to be paid in one go, be it the academic fee or the hostel fee. The academic fee is paid usually through Netbanking, NEFT, or RTGS. There is a scholarship criterion based on family income. Besides that, there is also a special category of seats called "Fee Waiver". The cut-off of each branch in the fee waiver section is higher than regular but they only have to pay 18000 per year as an academic fee.
Campus Life
The fests aren't conducted a lot here. The college just participates in Zonal Sports Competitions conducted by AKTU. There are cultural societies that go out to other college fests for participation. The college even provides reimbursement for them. The library is vast. We also have a digital library. The campus along with the library and hostel has Wi-Fi. Classrooms have projectors and smart boards along with regular boards.
Hostel Facilities
The hostels are good and clean. The food isn't very good but manageable. It is better than other PGs around the college. Hostels are hygienic and have clean drinking water. They are regularly mopped by the staff. The washrooms are shared and the students have to clean their rooms. The hostel also has a small utility shop that stays open till midnight.
