More Information About AKGEC College

I wanted to opt ECE core branch and this college was in top private colleges affiliated by AKTU. So I decided to pursue my bachelors degree in electronics and communication engineering in this college. They also provide TIFAC and AKGEC SKILL FOUNDATION where they have multiple courses and hands on experience on the machineries. These could be used by core branch students to prepare for real-world applications

The placements in the college is good as in core branches, most of the students get placements on-campus, infact these years good freshie paying scale company for core companies did visit the company and most of the IT sector companies also offer good packages. The average package is 5.5 lakhs. For ECE, Vivo, Kuka robotics, Ericsson and blauplug visited the college. I'm not really much aware about other branch's companies

In first year, students are to pay one lakh forty thousand rupees in which ten thousand amount is security money which is fully refunded after forth year, if there are no charges due on you from college. The management students also pay same amount of money as the ones who come through counselling. The scholarships are provided to students who have financially weak family background, i.e those who belong to EWS category or more fiedls where the criteria. Anyone whose family's yearly income is less than eight lacks is eligible to apply for scholarship where they have the access to get discount on the payment.

Students do run social cultural and technical society, there are so many technical societies where the involvement of faculty or guide is also included. Drone club, software incubator, phoenix (ECE departmental), OSS, etc The books and journals available in the library. The college supports sport at district, national and awards with cash, medals and trophy The fresher's, diwali fair and farewell are the annual events that take place at college

Table, chair, lan wires, personal cupboard, wifi services, personal charging ports and clothes stand is provided in hostels, washing machine is provided in girl's hostel. No ACs provision in hostel. The menu is pre decided and have variety of food and the quality and taste of food is also good. The registration form is distributed at the time of registration of college and further every other year the registration is done again for those who still want to opt for college. Recently I have rented a PG in Govindpuram.

I got thus college through counselling and the top AKTU Affiliated colleges I opted to were JSS, AKGEC, ABES, from which I got ECE branch in AKGEC which I locked in the first round of counselling itself as I was satisfied with the college. The students could come through counselling or Cbse 12th percentage i.e management, counselling is done on JEE scores and 12th percentage should be more than 75-80% in PCM for unreserved prolly

The faculty student ratio is appropriate enough to help you out with study and project related things. I'm from ECE branch and the faculty of this branch is little more serious and strict about all the rules though faculties of other branches of CSE and IT is not much strict about some rules like attendance but are equally serious and concerned about academics. There are 3 internal exams and vivas in labs and 1 end sem exam and final practicals.

Gym is there in both boys and girls hostel, though girls hostel's is not much equipped as much as boy's hostel gym. The utility shops and library is also available in hostels. The hostel timings for girls is 5:00 p.m. and students involved in societies, sports and academics could get late if permission granted from authorised person. It is safe to roam in college during night time but girls don't get much to enjoy the night time
