Remarks

Admission process for B.Tech Courses in Harcourt Butler Technical University (HBTU) is very smooth. It is based on your Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains rank. Every year General category rankers of JEE Mains between 14k to 30k rank get Computer Science and Engineering branch in HBTU. All details regarding application form, application fees and application dates can be easily found on HBTU's official site i.e https://hbtu.ac.in and https://hbtu.admissions.nic.in.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Facilities are good here in campus. Many of them are even holding a PhD degree in there subjects. Infrastructure are average. Library are quite good with peace in there. Medical facilities here are quite good with 24/ 7 medical facility sitting in college . There are two midsems that occur every semester with an additional end sem at the end of semester.

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 800000 per year

Internships Opportunities

2.5

Internship opportunities in the college are quite average. Not many students in the college are able to receive on campus internship and thus many apply for internships off campus. Roles offered by most of the companies recruiting for interns generally include web developer, software developer etc.

Placement Experience

Placements in the college for CSE and IT branches are excellent with about 100% placement rate. Whereas talking about other branches...there placement is quite average. Many top rankers of UttarPradesh consider CSE branch as one of their option because of its excellent placement rate.

Fees and Financial Aid

Placement in HBTU are very good...infact many top rankers of the state choose this college because of its very good placements as compared to other colleges of the state. Generally fees for B.Tech courses is approx 8 lakh for 4 years. Getting scholarships is easy here in the college.

Campus Life

HBTU provides one of the best college life to its students. With college being present in the centre of Kanpur City...all hangout places are very close to the college with excellent transport facilities. Annual fest and tech fest are being organized regularly by various communities and clubs. Sports and Extra curricular activities are also supported in the college. Overall Feedback for College - Admission , Placement , Course , Faculty , Events

Likes

the security is nice at my college like proper cctv and guards , apart from that labs , and my dept is too good. Ac classroom and labs
They have provided average placement like most of companies are mass hiring like tcs and accenture ..and only few companies come to offer big package
Infrastructure is good but there is need of reconstruction at some places the water is ticking in rain season continuously, and curriculum is okay okay not that much relevant to industry , they taught text books rather than the real practical cases

Dislikes

The examination checking - the student who is cr or having any relation with teachers got highest marks without writing the answer properly
The food canteen first of all the canteen is off from the past 1 or 2 year and now it reopen but it sells dirty food , waste foods
The college professor support , they are not that much supportive

Course Curriculum Overview:

coding I am interested in coding that why I offer this course It provide some courses but not all courses are related to real world they have to use practical examples and make students aware of the real industry According to me the time and frequency is okay of exam

My collage identity

This college is the 2nd best B.Tech college in UP after IIT and its placement is also good. One has to clear JEE for admission in HBTU in which one has to get rank in thousand for CSE .Those with lower rank can try the sports round once, in which there are more chances of losing admission in lower branch like FT OT. Since my rank was 10 lakh, my admission also happened in the sports round....Read More

All About the HBTU throught the lens of a first year student.

The other colleges which i applied to were IET Lucknow , IIIT Una , IIIT Dharwad and other lower IIITs . I choose over those since this colleges reputation and placements spoke for itself they had a very good track record regarding this course and many famous companies have been coming here repeatedly. The admission in this college is through HBTU e-counselling site which is a standalone website managed by HBTU itself . It has a registration fees of 2500 rupees is non refundable . There you fill your choice of courses . The branch is alloted according to your JEE MAINS rank and your preference list . After the seat allotment letter you have to visit college and there you will have to submit your documents then you will be given a provisional admission letter and you are given a choice to upgrade your branch to the courses you have selected in your preference list. The admission in this college for UG is given through only JEE MAINS for engineering and all other branches leaving Biotechonlogy and Biochemical where you can get admission through CUET....Read More
