Remarks

i have mentioned all the things above and apart from it nothing.

Entrance Preview

i gave aieee and lpu entrance test to enroll. I have so much about lpu and the professionalism I learned there was so helpful to maintain and stabilize my basic knowledge.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

absolutely good for any student. The labs work and teaching they give is remarkable however there is theoretical knowledge more than the practice. However there. Is practice knowledge. If they provide more labs the definitely would be awesome and lpu is going to be the one of the renowned colleges of indies. As per its growing.

Internships Opportunities

yes. lpu provides internship. mostly at the end of each semester in the holidays. so students can easily cope up without any burden. Hcl, Microsoft and many more MNC are there for the internship.

Placement Experience

4.5

in my batch the placements were amazing. if i recall i guess 70% students were placed in cse and ec. I am not much aware of other departments but I know that the percentage was good there as well. Our college improved in hotel management as well. Awesome placements.

College Events

5

I think that is the best part about lpu. and it will take whole to write that. We have events for each and very department. we have all in university. gyanmanthan, verto. Many more. i don't exactly remember he name now but there are more than 50 in one year. So any student can do whatever they like apart from study.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee is bit high but they do have the scholarships. So, if you qualify for scholarship then it would be amazing and the fee would be reasonable then. Scholarships are on the basis of your past academic stores. if any students have scored good then he don't have to worry about the fee. I miss the college days as well.

Fees and Financial Aid

yes. based on your past academic scores. Lpu provides you scholarships. The amount they provide is really good. that is also a positive part of lpu.

Campus Life

5

you have opportunity and you will get the chance to do whatever you want to do. One thing i didnt like their was restrictions. Each and every students was against the restrictions they applied for the hostelers. like a non hosteler can not come to hostel nor in day nor in night. If you are in hostel.1 then you can not go to hostel 2 to study with your friend or to meet him. This is the point where i think change in required.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Hostel food is 6 out of 10. We always have a negative feedback on the hostel food. But there are so many canteens which gives you tasty food for 40 or 50 rs. That concern is solved again but hostel food remains a concern. because paying 80000 for hostel and on top of that for food if you are not eating in the mess. However apart from hostel food. Everything about hostel was amazing. we have grounds to play. we have 5 grounds just to play and a tv room so that we can follow our sports.

Alumni/Alumna

Well, there are around 20000 students in btech only. so no question to contact alumini. because we never know who is our senior or junior.

Exam Structure

amazing. they keep on changing the exam pattern as per the students feedback and experienced faculty. Which makes quite helpful for students to pass with good grades. when i joined and in the first year it was different exam pattern but in 3rd year it changed and in 4th year its again changed. So, they keep on taking the feedback from students and make the structure accordingly.

Admission

I have seen advertisement on tv and then get information aboi Ut lpu and then gave lpu's entrance test. Then they called me with an offer letter in mail and I went in to one of their office and i enrolled. And i have to visit to lpu campus as well.

Faculty

3

I won't say the faculty is good. but they are just less than good. Fir such a huge and big college it is most important to hire deserving faculty. not one who has 70% marks in grad. So, experience is the most imp thing that matters when you hire any faculty. How can a fresh faculty can teach 3rd year engineer.

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.
