Remarks

This year admission to Delhi University was based on Common University Entrance Test(CUET). First, you have to apply for an exam on the website of the National Testing Agency (NTA). Then you will be allotted a slot for your exam and it would take place on a computer screen at the specified exam centre. Application fees were 1300 for 2 slots and for 1 slot 650. Different Universities taking part in CUET had their different eligibility for different courses At Delhi University for B.Com (Hons.) = 1 Language + Accountancy + Two other subjects OR 1 Language + Mathematics + Two other subjects BMS / BBA (FIA) = English + Mathematics + General Test In the year 2022, it was the first time that such an Entrance exam happened. It was not managed properly. But I believe that this year the institution would make some improvements to make students comfortable with the system.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I chose this course because I had an interest in commerce subjects that I read in Class 12th. In my college, there is more than sufficient faculty for each subject like there is a minimum of 2 teachers for each subject. All the faculty members are qualified in their respective fields and have pursued PhD in their own subjects. This year the session started late so the exam took place in 3 months for the first semester. At DU it is not very difficult to pass the exam just study every day that is taught in college.

Placement Experience

3.5

From 3 rd semester, students are open to being part of the placement cell which brings various companies on campus and helps students to grab placements in Big 4 Companies like EY, KPMG, and Deloitte. There are more than 130 offers made to students from various streams. The highest package offered by our college this year was 24 LPA and the average is around 5-6 LPA. Around 30-40% of students are placed every year. My plan is to get placement from the college and after that pursue MBA from a prestigious institution like IIMs.

Fees and Financial Aid

As Delhi University is a government institution fees for college are very reasonable and anyone coming from a lower middle-class family can afford it. There is no such fee hike policy in DU. There are scholarships available for students having income less than 400000. I am in my first year pursuing B.Com (Hons.) so there is no such opportunity for a job in first year we are open to placement cells in 2and year of college

Campus Life

3.5

Euphoria is the annual fest organized in SBSC in the month of March or April. There are all types of books available in the library whether it is related to college exams or any competitive exams. There are also novels and biographies available in the library. The classes are fully furnished. There are 3 grounds in our college where you can play games like football, cricket, basketball, and volleyball and for indoor games, you can play games like chess, table tennis etc. There are many societies in our college like Natuve Theatre society, Noor The fashion society, Spardha western dance society, and Marksoc The Marketing society which will make your college life happy and memorable

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course provides a comprehensive image of finance and management, though after NEP, the curriculum seems a little irrelevent. The exams are conducted twice in a year, 2 sems per year, they conduct mid sem exams as well.
