Remarks
Eligibility to Get admission in DTU is through JEE mains Only. You have to score above 90 percentile at least in JEE mains to get admission in DTU if you are from the Gen category. To get admission in CS/IT 10K rank for Delhi students and a 3-4K rank for outside Delhi students is required. The application process is done by JAC Delhi. And its fee is 1500 which is nonrefundable even if you don't take admission afterward. You have a slight edge if you are a Delhi Candidate. And if you are SC/ST then it's very easy to get admission to DTU or any Govt college.
Course Curriculum Overview
So my course is Mechanical Engineering and its not that easy, like easier than Electrical and Electronic but difficult than CS/IT. The faculty-student Faculty-student ratio is 1:70. All the professors are well educated, done their PhD, and M-Tech from IITs or foreign universities. Exams will be easy and 1 -2 weeks of preparation is sufficient to pass them
Internships Opportunities
There are many opportunities for an internship at DTU. Usually, after 2nd-year companies visit for on-campus internships. Companies like Microsoft, Flipkart, amazon, uber, and many more but If you are in CS/IT you have great chances of getting an internship, if you are from other branches then it's slightly difficult to get on on-campus internship.
Placement Experience
Placements are great in DTU. Almost every student gets placed. After 2nd year you can get an internship on campus and during 4th year you will be getting placement on campus. More than 300 companies visit DTU every year and more than 2000 offers are made. The highest package last year was 1.04 Cr and the Average package is 13-14 Lakh/year.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are like 2,09,000 for the first year then increase 10k every year. And it increases by 10K for every next batch. So I think fees are high but there are various scholarships for Economically weaker students. Like E-District scholarships.
Campus Life
So the Annual fest is Engifest and it occurs usually in February. It is the biggest fest in north India. And almost all the colleges of Delhi come to witness the event. Lots of books are available in the library and you can issue them for the entire sem or for a month. Every sport is there in the college and a DTU team is there in which you can take part if you are good in any sports. Like Cricket, Football, Badminton, kabbadi, TT, Tennis, Volleyball, etc. Every Team has its social media page on insta where you can follow for updates.
