Honest Review about VIT Bhopal from one of the student

Usually, there will be a VITEEE exam for getting into any of the 4 VITs. But due to Covid, we were selected based on our marks of 10th & 12th. Since I joined the college one month left, so I simply contacted them via the website that I want to join and they further called me & gave me all the details. Since they are taking a separate test VITEEE for admission, so according to me the admission process is good.

I choose the course because I wanted to pursue a degree in cyber security and VIT Bhopal is among the top 10 colleges which provide degrees in cyber security at a reasonable fee. I would say the ratio of faculty: student would be 1:60 Almost 99% of faculties have done Ph.D. Or pursuing their Ph.D. from VIT Bhopal. They are very knowledgeable in their respective field & helpful too. (P.S: Exceptions are always there) The term-end exam is 100 marks with 10 questions (10 marks for each question). If you study well & listen to the class, you'll get more than 80% easily.

As I said, there are many companies that come for internships with an average stipend of 30,000-50, 000 per month. The projects basically depend on the company & job role. Most companies come for hiring SDE interns.

From the staring of 3rd year itself, we have started getting internship emails. A few of our batchmates get internships too. There are more than 150 companies coming for placement with an average package of 10-20 LPA. The highest package is of 1crore. One thing I like about VIT is that here everyone gets a placement. I'll join a company after completing the degree.

So the academic fees depend on your ranking on VITEEE. Ideally, it's approximately 1.98 lahks per year. The hostel fees depend on the number of sharing & ac or non-ac status. You can find the hostel fees on their website. I have got a scholarship of 100% based on my marks of 10th & 12th. My academics are free as of now. However, there are criteria (like 75% attendance, 8.5cgpa every year) that I need to follow to continue the scholarship.

Annual fest: AdVITya Usually, there are multiple events like the Ganapati event, Bengali new year, and Tamil events conducted. There is a library on the academic block with a good number of books present there. You can borrow the book by simply filling out a form. Classrooms have flexible chairs, boards, and projectors. Some classrooms have AC & sofa too. There are more than 20 technical & non-technical clubs managed by the students like OWASP Club, CWC club, etc.

There is 1 bedroom (only available for girls), 2 shared rooms, 3 shared rooms, 4 shared rooms, 5 shared rooms, 6 shared rooms, 7 sharing rooms & 8 sharing rooms. All have both ac & non-ac. Meal quality is quite good in all hostel blocks. So, you need to pay for the hostel before coming to college. After you go to college, you need to fill out a form & they'll assign a room number for you. I haven't rented a room but some of my friends are in PG.
