Course Curriculum Overview

2

Faculty at pict is quite strict in terms of attendance and discipline. As you need to submit the assignments timely and maintain a balanced attendance. If attendance is below the certain mark of 75% you won't be allowed to sit the semester examination, so maintain your attendance for the start. Assignment submissions is not an easy job. Exams are also strictly conducted here. Most of the teachers are kind and helpful. But if you ever get into a heated conversation with any of the teachers (first of all never get into one ) then it might be painful for you at the end of the semester as all the submission work and internal marks are dependent on their shoulders. So please behave properly and respect them. Talk politely and kindly and all will be great for you.

Internships Opportunities

5

Students are given internship opportunities in their 2 nd year of college. Many companies like MasterCard also provide internship opportunities to students. One of my seniors got an internship from Deutsche Bank and later got ppo(preplacement offer) from the same. Projects play a very important factor in placement time.

Placement Experience

5

Placements at our college are quite good in taking account of the fact being a tier 2 college and branch. Even the students not from cs or its branch land up in a decent company with satisfactory pay. About 184 students got placed this year out of 260 students on the campus that too from the electronics branch itself with grabbing a good paycheck in their hand. One more thing students have not yet entered their final semester yet. College provides placement opportunities from the end of 3rd year. College also provides many internship opportunities for students in their 2nd year only.

Fees and Financial Aid

Here you need to pay 95000 per year for a general category student. While if you are an obc category candidate you will get a 50 % scholarship in the overall fees. And if you fall into sc,st category you might end up paying only 2000-3000 per year as your college fees for a year. You should visit www.mahadbtmahait.in for more scholarship details. I must say it's a very value of money place in consideration of the facilities and all you get to learn here.

Campus Life

4

Our college has many clubs including IEEE, PASC, PISB, DEBSOC for debate, robotics club for robo enthusiasts, etc. We have many events taking place in our college each club has its very own techfest which is organized by the club along with the college for at least 3 days for each club which lit up the college. There is a grand annual fest totally organized by the college called addiction. Pict Art circle is a club going into more art side of students. It's been creating history over the past few years by winning many trophies. Books: A vast collection of books is present in the library along with an online collection of them. You can get early information by searching for the book on pict library website if it is present or not. Sports: sports facilities like table tennis courts, basketball courts, football, volleyball, cricket, kabaddi, etc. Indoor games like chess court and carrom boards are also present for the students. All classrooms are equipped with projectors and all.

Admission

Mhtcet and jee mains (15% quota). You can find more details on cet cell's official website about the examination and go through it thoroughly. Reservation quota is available for obc, sc, and st candidates. They can avail of many scholarships as well for financial support. You need to prepare hard for clearing these exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
