Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I have chosen this course as I am interested in Mechanics since childhood. The faculty is okayish not so great as well as you won't be studying in the classroom as you have been studying in school. Some of the faculty are great no doubt. Haha, student ratio? Why? Well, here we have like 70 boys and 3 Girls on average. If you want a better ratio, choose NITs. Term exams were on time but due to the delay in admissions, our semesters have been shortened which is why we are facing problems in completing the syllabus on time.

Internships Opportunities

4

The average stipend for an internship is also quite great about 56,000 per month and the highest was 2Lacs per month. As I have told won't be a great candidate to answer this question, but all in all, it is a great place for internship opportunities.

Placement Experience

4

I don't have much idea about placements. I am interested in the core sector, so I won't be going into Tech companies, and mechanical is a well-known branch in DTU and hence has a great placement record. A lot of companies come for campus placements and all of the students are happy at the end of the day by getting into dtu.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee has risen in the past few years and the total cost to study here is mostly around 10-14 Lacs depending upon if you get the hostel or not. I am a fresher so can't say much about the job scenario and all, but yes all types of financial assistance are provided on campus.

Campus Life

4.5

The well awaited annual fest known as EngiFest is held in February this year. Most of the required books are available in the library. Classrooms are well equipped with Projectors and ACs. The sports complex is a good one and has all of the sports you can ask for well except the swimming pool. A lot of societies are run by students.

Hostel Facilities

1

Well getting a hostel in dtu is a tough thing, but being an outside Delhi candidate I was the 1st preference in getting the hostel. The hostel is a hostel, and there is wifi connection but never works in our hostels, nothing gets solved on time issues are there, robbery is the worst IMO, no work on broken items, all in all, not a great experience. Hostels aren't affordable either by the cost they have, they have given 5 and 6 sharing rooms and fees have been taken on the account of 3 sharing

Admission

You should have passed class 12th with a PCM aggregate of 75% and above. The form for JEE examination is out on the website and the exam is conducted by NTA. For admission to DTU, we need to fill out another counselling known as JAC Delhi. From here we get admissions into DTU, NSUT, IGDTUW, DSEU and IIIT.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.
