VGSOM-IITKGP : A must read review

I have an industry experience of 2.5 years and I want to pursue an MBA specialty in operation and supply chain Vgsom is one of the best in the league So that's why I have chosen this course. Faculty to student ratio 1: 10 (23 Faculty for 230 students) (This is both MBA 1st and 2nd year ). If one includes the visiting Faculty the ratio will be better and each faculty have TA who is doing Ph.D. under them. All of The Faculty are Ph.D. holders in their respective fields from esteemed colleges and have rich industry experience. The teaching method is a combination of both analytics and case based but in IIT they mostly focus on academics or books rather than cases. In Vgsom There is a semester system, and each semester is of four months, (Quiz, mid sem, and End sem) You will get enough time to study but You will have to give 12 exams in on go and that too within 10 days so Exam time there will be very pressure situation but with the right approach, you will sail through it.

Summer placement starts from month of August and final placement starts in the month of December and within 10 days all students mostly gets placed Companies like P&G, Diageo, Reckett, Sun pharma, PWC, Tata, vedanta etc and 100+ offers The highest package for the year MBA 22 batch is 32 lakh and It will be more for MBA 23 batch placement brochure is yet to be released. 100% of students get a place here. I want to do a JOB in any FMCG industry and I have a plan for my own company.

ROI is very good in vgsom Total fee is approx 11lacs only and There is no such hike on year basis. There is a scholarship opportunity for ST/SC students and Bank will provide loans with minimum interest that is too near campus, Summer Internship stipends average is approx 1.5 (2 months), and Avg package for finals is 20 lacs P.A.

VGSOM Annual fest is Purvodaya which will be conducted in End Jan to 1st week of Feb, SRIJAN In the month of Jan In the IIT ecosystem and 2800 acres campus, every best possible facility is available here. Students will be access to use any facilities which are there for technology students, There are various clubs, like sports, culture, Entrepreneur, etc. We have a total of 18 clubs and committees run by the student body like supply chain, admission committee, Marketing club, consulting clubs, and a lot more.

Hostel facilities are a bit okay I will not say very good, There is some new hostel is coming up but till then students have to adjust to triple sharing otherwise there is double sharing and there is a common bathroom or all the students. Meal breakfast is very good But lunch and dinner are okay. The hostel registration process will be included through admission only and the fee is very affordable approx 40k for 1 year. It is compulsory to live in a hostel for MBA students.

ELIGIBILITY Bachelor's degree in Engineering/ Technology or Master's degree in science, arts, commerce, etc. Reservation Benefits are here like tuition fees waived for ST/SC/PED. Criteria of Admission change every year, No uniform weightage for 10th, 12th, and graduation marks, graduation marks have very high weightage and PI is the game changer which is again a win or loses the game.
