The curriculum also seems to be evolving with gerater emphasis on practical exposure and understanding how concepts work in actual businesses. Instead of simply studying a concept for an examination, we often have to analyse cases, discuss business situations, work in groups, and present our recommendations.

Comanies like TATA Consumer cares, Tommy Hilfiger have already opened their spots for SIPs and we have plenty of opportunities to do internships at NGOs and LBA models. LBA AND NVD HAS BEEN A STRONG PILLAR IN BUILDING EXPERIENCE OF THE STUDENTS.

Campus life has been great with some healthy bit of competition between the peers. The days are filled with classes, internships, clubs and committee meetings and mock interview sessions. We have not received a single chance to even breathe the entire first month and in a good way.

hostel rooms are clean and well maintained by the designated people. washrooms are comapratively cleaner than other colleges. all the rooms are air-conditioned. there are lounges on every floor for meetings and hangout purposes

Some other colleges that I applied to include Great Lakes Chennai, Fore School Of Management, Tapmi Manipal, KJSOMAIYA, and CAP IIMS. The main reason to choose IMI Kolkata over these colleges was the shift in curriculum starting from this year itself. The smaller batch size was also a key factor.

The thing that stood out to me quite early was the faculty. Most professors are approchable and willing to clarify doubts even outside regular classroom discussions. What I particularly appreciate is that classes are not always limited to slides and notes. There are frequent discussions, case based questions, presentations and situations where you are expected to put forward ypur own point of view.

The admission process just included one online interview. IMI belives in a holistic evaluation of profile and does not solely depend on percentiles or scores. We had no group discussions or written tests as such.

Gym is almost open entire day Library is open 24*7 2 messes are there in the campus. 2 cafeterias are there. nearest happening place is park street the best place for a night out with friends. Tall tales, Arsalan, Aminia are a few places to hangout with friends over food.
