Course Curriculum Overview

I have always been interested in the CSE field, so I choose this course. Faculty members are knowledgeable. student-faculty ratio in our department is around 26:1. Lecturers are good in their respective domains. Coming to exams and question paper level, they usually set it a little difficult compared to other universities in Karnataka.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 200000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Internships Samsung - 49k - SDE Fidelity - 35.5k - SDE Bosch - 25k -SDE And still internship process is going on, 5 companies are yet to come. Projects Opportunities Samsung Prism - Research HPE technologies - On some project

Placement Experience

From the 5th semester companies start to hire for summer internships, and by end of the 7th, the placement process will almost be over. Samsung, Bosch, and Fidelity are the companies visited so far for internships, and many more companies are yet to come. The highest package that was recorded last year was 53LPA and the Average for our department is around 8LPA. Mostly all companies that visit our college hire for SDE roles. The placement percentage for our branch is 90%. I am also willing to get placed in good company by the end of my course.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are fixed for all course years which is as low as 1,72,000+24000 Rs for comedk quota students. I felt it was affordable. I did not get any scholarship. Many companies come to this college for hire.

Campus Life

The college has mainly 2 annual festivals Utsav - Cultural fest Phaseshift - Technical fest Apart from these two, there will be many more cultural as well as technical events going on on campus Evey month. The college has a well-maintained library and you can find books in almost all domains. All classrooms in our department are well equipped with projectors and a computer system. Each classroom got Airconditioning too. They focus so much on inter-college sports events for which they also conduct a selection process for various sports on campus. There are various clubs or groups for people with different interests, like BMSCE MUN Society, Protocol Club, Chiranthana Club, Robotics Club, etc these are the main clubs and apart from these, there are many more.

Admission

I got admitted through the comedy exam, one can apply online. I got a CSE seat through the OBC reservation quota. In the admission process, the 12th marks are also considered with 50% weightage, which is significant.

Good Infrastructure and Career Opportunities

Likes

Yes the first thing I liked is the campus and the environment there is no harrasment and strict action will be taken.
And second thing is faculty members are so helpful and they always help to students and different festival
And also the campus provide all facilities and make helps to sports and ration is almost equal of boys and girls

Dislikes

Yes some things are there which I disliked first is the campus is very strict and no function are organised yearly ones or twice is very sad thing as compared to other campus
Second thing is food students facing some problem with the food which hear prepared so outsiders facing lot of problems
Third is about hostel facility is good but very strict only once a week the students should go out side and write leave letter to go there native places.

Placement Experience:

Students got opportunity to eligible after 3rd year mainly in 7th semester students get opportunity for campus interview. In my college the company which came to hire is congizent and microsoft and amezon and dell nearly 80 to 90 company are came. The company offers is highest is 40 lack per annum which google provide and minimum is 4lack . Mainly 80 percent of the students are placed every year but due to war happened in the global impact in placement I want to do masters in abroad and then go to the company

very first thing i like in the college is the wifi network,
the library which is very peace and silent
average places to take photos and nearby there is nandi hills to visit

Dislikes

i dislike the distance of the college, its too large, should walk soo much
the cost of stationaries in the general store
i dont think so faculy are that much expertise , only countable people worth it

see i have choosed this course because it is very relatable to CSE, coz my ranking was not sufficient to get this course. the course which i took "Information Science and Engineering" is really a good course. they make us real world engineers. the area they shld actually improve is, hiring worthable faculty.

Campus is good and mainly located near Whitefield.
too good supportive professor. Staff are too chill. Some staff are like our bestfriend's.
Lab equipment are good . You are not facing any issue with pc.. it's good

Dislikes

There is only few events in a year. I think only 3 events.
Hostel building is too bad. And hostel food is too bad.
There is no field to play games like cricket, football.

Placement Experience:

After 8 sems we are eligible for placements. TCS ,Dell and many companies visited mvj. Highest package of mvj was 22lakhs per annum. Basically some companies ask CGPA at above 8. My plan is a developer after my engineering in python language or Else I will continue my dad business

Insights of the Gopalan college of engineering and Management by a First Year Student

Canteen is fine has nice and tasty food and quite a lot of options
Library is also good has every book related to my course and few others as well
Lab facilities are also very nice and the college has a nice crowd

Dislikes

It's nothing like I expected, they don't let students use the ground or turfs. Facilities are pretty bad.
They charge money for everything and has zero facilities for college students. Everything is for there school students.
College is very small and the faculties are rude to students. (Mostly the case)

Placement Experience:

Student are eligible for placements from there 7th semester but I wouldn't recommend relying on college for placements. Not many companies come to this college so placements are really bad. If u have skills it would be better to apply to companies on your own. I don't have details on how many students gets placed but as much as I know it's about 30-50 % And average package is also very low. I plan of gaining skills and certification on my own and job hunting myself in 4th year through my connections and internships. Or maybe go abroad for masters As I'm a first year student I don't know much about which companies come and how much they offer.

We have a temporary campus .which was taken as rent in goverment engeneering college raichur .and permanent campus was yet to finish by the time juniors come the permanent campus will be getting finished.just needed the proper campus no improvments
The campus life was not as expected by a student because here the cluns are not very active like in any other colleges , u can enjot a lot with your friends in your hostel.
Every branch has a faculty adviser we can meet them and discuss our problems with them .the faculry were very good they were well experienced ,they teach in general way as any teacher does on a digital board.

Dislikes

The placement cell is not that good , the students were not getting places for good amount of package as expected .
The labs were not well maintained that should be resolved that is the main problem in this college as well as library we have a very small library which is in a size of a regular class
Hostel was not within the campus which makes some difficulty to walk through the streets with roaming buses and cars and bikes , in our college boy girl ration was very less it is 1: 7 like that.

Placement Experience:

From 6th semester students are eligible for taking interships and they get placed in 7th semester and have to leave campus after 8th semester the highest would somewhere aroubd 20 lpa and avg would be 9 to 10 lpa . I plan to do Mtech in any reputed college by writing gate . The percentage of studebts getting placed are 70 %

My Review

Admission:

I had opted this course because I am interested in research field. the factors that made me choose institution aa it is best for playing courses which has the high infrastructure need for research. Steps college as a part of admission procedure are as follows to apply for CUCET examination after qualifying in that examination we will be called for counselling, in counselling they will prepare merit list according to the marks obtained in the future of examination and 12th marks according to that they will provide seat for us.
