Likes

Exposer to different opportunities
Campus Placements
Course curriculum

Dislikes

Restriction in the campus

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is designed best for placements and higher studies and faculty members are also good but do not expect more from them as in university we have to do it by ourself. Examination system is very good in university, timely CAs and END-Term are conducted.

Class Size: 72Course Fees: INR 180000 per year

Internships Opportunities

2.5

There are many companies that visit campus for internship opportunities, they offer roles in various domains like web development, data science, business analysis, and sales. the stipend is generally around 15k to 25k.

Placement Experience

Campus placements are good for only Btech CSE only as very less core companies visit campus and for other branches, they are forced to sit in IT companies, and for the CSE campus placements are good compared to other private colleges, I would say if you are in cse and you are eligible for placements then they will surely get you placed in any company if not in IT then in Call centers. And Talking about the packages if you want good packages like above 10lpa then you need to be in the top 10 percentile otherwise wise most of the students get packages around 5lpa only.

Fees and Financial Aid

The semester-wise fee for BTECH is around 90000 and similarly around 60000 for other programs, scholarship is provided upon different criteria such as the performance in LPU NEST, Board marks, or JEE Mains results, There is no fee hike in academic but hostel and mess fees are increased around 10% annually.

Campus Life

Campus life is very awesome there are multiple cultural fests like ONE WORLD and there are multiple students organization and clubs for different hobbies, and talking about infrastructure no doubt it is one of the best campuses in India. The library is enriched with multiple books. And there are multiple sports activities. In short, you will get one of the best exposers on campus.

Admission

Admission is done through the LPU NEST exam or through the direct admission, scolarship is provided based upon the marks in LPU NEST or the board percentage or based upon the percentile scored in jee mains.

Dislikes

There are few lack of infrastructure issue on labs
There are some issues I saw with hostel rooms

Course Curriculum Overview:

I particularly liked my minor degree in Electronics and Communication engineer which is cover more on the modern Computer hardware concepts . Suggestion as overall faculty can introduce one course each semester as elective which student can learn apart from that branch.

The university provides good exposure to technical courses, eventrs , clubs, and extracurricular activities.
The campus has good labs, a library, and facilities that support students academic development.

More personalized mentorship and regular career guidance sessions would help student prepare for their future carees.
more internship opportunities would further improve students professional growth.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the CSE curriculum covers relevant subjects and provides a good foundation programming and computer science. It prepares students for futher studies and careers, through more industry-based projects and practical learning would be bemigficial. college life of Chandigarh university is so good, all the events do happen .
teachers are so experienced and they are so supportive in here.
the placements in this university are great, all the big tech companies do visit while placements and provide jobs to the deserved students.

Dislikes

All the online courses should be reduced.
nothing is there in the university that is to dislike.
majority of the things are all good in our university.

Placement Experience:

The placemnets in the university starts from the 3 year only. companies comes in the 3rd year, students= can give interviews in this year, and they can get the NOC. wich means you can go for the job or the iinternship and there is no need to take the classes, because you are taking the indyustry level experience in the prior basis also.

A TOUR TO CGC LANDRAN

Likes

Events are more frequent here and most of the stars from punjabi industry are called more often for film promotions
No ragging is there infact seniors are friendly and try to help juniors
TPP (training and placement program) is provided that help students to crack placements

Dislikes

Attendance criteria (minimum 75 % is essential to maintain to be eligible to give exams)
Class timings are fixed from 9:15 to 4:35 and you can not enter in between 10 to 12:00 PM as gates are closed for this duration
Strength is rapidly increasing as new courses are introduced which increases competition during placements

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent, from 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement students need to enroll in TPP(Training and placement program) in order to get eligible for campus placement, Many companies visit our campus for eg Capgemini, LNT, ZSCALER, EDIFECS, AMAZON, PWC, WATCHGUARD TECHNOLOGIES etc overall above 200 offerrs are made to our senior batch with the highest package of 32LPA and average package of around 4.5LPA. more than 60% of students get placed . I am also sitting for campus placement and wish to get placed soon

College Life is Fun, Various activities and events happen in and around college, you got to know about others and crowd is also decent, Mostly Students are from northern regions that is Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand .
Teachers are good and placement coordinators also help students to get good package on campus. a decent package can be bagged by a student if he/she seriously study and obtain a decent CGPA in exam. Make sure you clear all exams till 8th semester.
Infrastructure Is also good, laboratories are fitted with new desktops and campus size is also decent, Tuck shops and various Canteens are available inside the campus. Also Central Library is there inside the campus where students can study in exam t

Dislikes

The curriculum for 1st and 2nd semester is purely based on subjects that you studied in 11th and 12th, the advance versions of those topics are there in 1st and 2nd semester which make it difficult for students to get good grades.
The placement in other branches like Mechanical, electrical is mere, and one can face difficult in getting on campus placement if he/she belongs to these streams. Also Lack of practical knowledge is there in these streams, Theory is more focused.
If one opt for hostels, then the hostel facilities are not as good as it should be , the mess food is pathetic and one can face difficulty if he/she opt for hostel, also campartively hostel fees are also very high, whereas nearby Pg's are cheaper

Placement Experience:

placement is good in our college. Aveage package is 400000, and average package for cse stream is approx 500000. Various companies like alstom, infosys, accenture, TCS, Wipro, amazon, Walmart, JP Morgan chase and co. etc visit campus every year and recruit students. Approx 300+ companies visit campus and above 80% of cse students are placed but In other streams like ECE.EE and ME etc placements are campartively lower and students face difficulty in order to get placed. MY plan is job oriented i also want to get placed on campus and hope so i will get placed in a good company.
