Course Curriculum Overview
I was interested in pursuing Computer Science since childhood. The student-to-faculty ratio is 15:1. The quality of education provided by the staff is fair enough for the fee structure when compared to other private universities in India. We have one mid-term and an obvious end-term, which are easy to pass with enough attendance(75%).
Placement Experience
From the cse branch, around 80% of students will get on-campus placements. There are many internship programs at LPU. Top recruiting companies(Tech Giants) here are Microsoft, Wipro, Google, Yahoo, etc.
Fees and Financial Aid
I haven't faced any fee hike as I maintain enough attendance and have no indisplinary case/punishment. The cost of the study is reasonable and being a private university, the fee of my course is at a minimum as I was offered the maximum scholarship.
Campus Life
There is a whole lot of fun stuff to do in the university other than studying. There is a whole block named "Department of Student Welfare", which is where student clubs exist. Student clubs are mentored by students themselves and are allowed to conduct fests with sponsorships.
Hostel Facilities
There are a bunch of different hostels on the campus, which are located inside a different compound. The meals are.... well not too bad in the mess of every hostel. But there is always a second option for everyone to eat in stalls instead of the hostel mess.
Admission
I had to give an exam called LPUNest conducted by our university for admission, to check the eligibility and scholarship offered for my course. I opted for data science with machine learning which is an industrial collab with a company called Upgrade.
Interview Experience
We dont have to face any GD or an interview for the admission process. The test (LPUNEST) is a 150 minutes test consisting of 120 objective type MCQ's. The exam pattern is designed to test candidate's aptitude and their knowledge with the standards of the choosen course
