What Students Say

Likes

Seniors are very helpfull.
The clubs and sub councils provide exposures in different areas.
Placement statistics are decent.

Dislikes

Infrastucture of college is not too good.
No inovative method of teaching.
Lack of technical amenities.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course of Computer science and engineering is in demand and secondly, it has a decent package that one aims for after B.tech. Talking about faculties here, Faculties are well qualified with all teachers having expertise in their subjects and fields. The teachers attempt their best to impart knowledge to students but the teaching methods vary from faculty to faculty. The exams are conducted thrice per semester 2 mid-semester exams and one end-semester exam. The difficulty of the paper could be marked as moderate.

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 135000 per year

Placement Experience

The placement of the university is decent. The average package is 6.5 LPA, and particularly for the CSE branch, it is approximately 10 LPA. Companies such as Josh Technology, Optum, TCS, Samsung, ExxonMobil, etc. visit the campus for recruitment and offer packages ranging from 5 LPA to 15 LPA. The placement rate of university is nearly 70 percent .

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure was 1,35,000 for first-year students excluding hostels. And it is reduced to 1,27,000 in the second year. The hostel fees include 25,000 + 18,000 (per semester) for the mess. For scholarships, one can apply for UP government scholarships and Siemens scholarships(allotted to students in the first year).

Campus Life

College life is not too happening. There are 3 fests per year one technical fest called Technika, one sports fest called Aagaz, and one cultural fest called Adhyaay. Besides these, there are various sub-councils and clubs that students can be a part of. The library has a vast collection of books but unfortunately, the library timings are from 10 am to 5 pm. The LHCs are more maintained than the regular classrooms.

Admission

To be eligible for the B.tech course the student should have cleared 10+2 in PCM with 60% aggregate and the selection is based on the scorecard of JEE mains. The university releases its admission form on the official website and after completing the form proceedings and paying application fees of 1000 one would be allotted seats on the basis of rank. The cutoff for CSE was approx 22,000 ranking for the general category.

Overall Feedback for College - Admission , Placement , Course , Faculty , Events

Likes

the security is nice at my college like proper cctv and guards , apart from that labs , and my dept is too good. Ac classroom and labs
They have provided average placement like most of companies are mass hiring like tcs and accenture ..and only few companies come to offer big package
Infrastructure is good but there is need of reconstruction at some places the water is ticking in rain season continuously, and curriculum is okay okay not that much relevant to industry , they taught text books rather than the real practical cases

Dislikes

The examination checking - the student who is cr or having any relation with teachers got highest marks without writing the answer properly
The food canteen first of all the canteen is off from the past 1 or 2 year and now it reopen but it sells dirty food , waste foods
The college professor support , they are not that much supportive

Course Curriculum Overview:

coding I am interested in coding that why I offer this course It provide some courses but not all courses are related to real world they have to use practical examples and make students aware of the real industry According to me the time and frequency is okay of exam

My collage identity

This college is the 2nd best B.Tech college in UP after IIT and its placement is also good. One has to clear JEE for admission in HBTU in which one has to get rank in thousand for CSE .Those with lower rank can try the sports round once, in which there are more chances of losing admission in lower branch like FT OT. Since my rank was 10 lakh, my admission also happened in the sports round....Read More

All About the HBTU throught the lens of a first year student.

The other colleges which i applied to were IET Lucknow , IIIT Una , IIIT Dharwad and other lower IIITs . I choose over those since this colleges reputation and placements spoke for itself they had a very good track record regarding this course and many famous companies have been coming here repeatedly. The admission in this college is through HBTU e-counselling site which is a standalone website managed by HBTU itself . It has a registration fees of 2500 rupees is non refundable . There you fill your choice of courses . The branch is alloted according to your JEE MAINS rank and your preference list . After the seat allotment letter you have to visit college and there you will have to submit your documents then you will be given a provisional admission letter and you are given a choice to upgrade your branch to the courses you have selected in your preference list. The admission in this college for UG is given through only JEE MAINS for engineering and all other branches leaving Biotechonlogy and Biochemical where you can get admission through CUET....Read More
