Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

If you are a engineering student you will never be happy with your curriculum but yes the course curriculum is quite average here. Practical knowledge lacks in their curriculum. The teacher student ratio is about 1: 80. The faculties are well qualified. You will find many faculties as Ph.D. holder. LPU has hell lot of timely exams. They do have three to four continuous assessment test in a semester, assignments, project, mids and end-semester. The exams are moderate. You can easily get good grades if you study.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

You can opt for placement preparatory classes for getting internship and placements. Some super dream companies also visit here like Google, Amazon, Goldmann Sachs. The average intership you will get around 35K per month.

Placement Experience

3.5

After fifth semester, you become eligible for placements and you will get placement easily if you don't have any backlog but you have to fight a lot for dream companies. 700+ companies visited every year in our college In which best companies are Amazon, Optimizer, Cisco. The average placement is 5 LPA while highest is somewhat around LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is quite good in LPU. Comparing to other private colleges, LPU has minimal fees and you can easily get good amount of scholarship or financial aid. You can get scholarship basis on merit, sports quota, national certificate. I got scholarship on the basis of my 12th boards marks of 25 percent. You will not get your fees hike once you take the admission.

Campus Life

4

The campus life is very great in LPU. Everyday you can find different events happening in LPU. One INDIA, one world and SPECTRA are three annual events of LPU. Coke Studio, Techfest, You get tons of organizations to join, large number of events to participate, organist and enjoy. Large number of leisurely places, be it central vista or Mall or playgrounds or gyms or swimming pools or indoor stadium or skating rink or nets to practice. You will find a full packed library of 5 floors and can find books of all interest.

Hostel Facilities

3

I'm not much happy with the accommodation facility in LPU. Hostels are quite expensive and you have to follow strict norms of you are opting for hostels. Rooms are also just okay only. The good thing is you can have different choices like no. of seater and ac or cooler rooms. There are 8 boys hostels 6 girls hostels and 1 apartment for boys. BH-1 is best among all and facilities wise apartment is best but you have to pay a lot for it. Also Gh6 is best among girls hostels. There is capacity of 30000+ students so you can easily get hostel services.

Admission

The admission process is quite smooth. You have to give an entrance test- LPUNEST which fees is about 800-1000 Rs. And you can register through LPU website portal or you can come to LPU as well. For people benefits, they have their some admission or help care centers in few of the cities as well. You have to qualify your 12th boards for admission in LPU but you can get admission on any of the basis in LPU whether JEE OR BOARDS OR LPUNEST and you can even get scholarship also if you score well.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
